Entrance Foyer This is the grand entrance foyer and is the first room you'll enter upon coming to Darkmore. The floors are of the highest quality of black Italian marble. Anything wood is of the finest, hand carved ebony. Gold and genuine crystal chandeliers hang, suspended in midair, below a hand painted ceiling that depicts scenes of horrific battles and grand triumphs. Grand Staircase This staircase leads takes you up to the Second Floor. The steps are of the same quality of black Italian marble as the floor in the Entrance Foyer. The bannisters are of the finest ebony with hand carved, intricate designs that are inlaid with pure gold. McKeltar Hall This is where students and staff will take their meals. Banquets will also be held here. The exquisite hall is expansive and is nestled serenely behind two floor to ceiling, hand carved ebony doors. Within, there are eight tables - one for each house - lined up across the hall. At the end, there is a half - square shaped table where the administration and staff sit to eat. All the tables are hand carved ebony, and instead of benches like at Hogwarts, there are hand carved, high backed ebony chairs with padded seats. The chairs at the high table also have padded arm rests. The floor is like that in the Entrance Foyer - finest black Italian marble, and brass sconces line the walls between the high, cathedral - type windows. Mirror Library Where you can come to do research or just read. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all mirrors. At first, it's a bit disorienting, but once you get used to it, it's actually quite fun to come in here.
