"Danger is as much an ingredient of life as love is, whatever worth that silly word still holds. I must confess. Only my respect for you and your position keeps me at bay. Were you any other, a mortal, I would not control myself so well…though I hardly think you would mind being pinned beneath me.
Shall I give you a tour?"

Boston had been shot.
Sleeping harmlessly in his den (he does prefer the bear side of himself more than the human side these days) hunters had come and taken a chunk of muscle and tissue out of him before he promptly flew into a rage and mauled one of them to death. It wasn't his fault, and he didn't really remember doing it, but the blood all over and specks of flesh in his teeth left no doubt in his mind that he'd had another one of his blacking out episodes.
Those can be so dangerous.
That's why he tried to leave the city behind and live a peaceful life far away from humans, vampires, lycans and witches alike, but would they have any of it? NO. Now, grumbling and groaning and half growling beneath his breath, he made his way through the deep woods, out finally into Buckley national park and towards the smell of wolves. Oh, he knew they hunted here, and he was sure that those of them who'd ever gone far enough into the forest had smelled him, but he'd never actually seen them, never wanted to, never intended to. However this little unintentional murder bit has changed all the rules, taken his past hand of cards away and given him an entirely new deck to play with.
You see, he figures that if something were killing 'innocents' in his hunting grounds he wouldn't be too happy, and since he's killed one and let one get away (which will surely result in police and media running about the area) he'd better go have a heart to heart with them before they come to have a heart to mouth with him. Eh, this talking business has never been his strong point and now, leaking blood all through his clothes and down his arm, he's in a reasonable amount of pain, enough to make him damned grumpy and a grumpy bear is never a good bear.
Up ahead he sees a large house leaking the smell of dog all over the place like a wet sponge left out to dry. He paused and considered roaring and blubbering the way wounded animals sometimes do but in the end decided the best approach may be just to approach. So he found himself on the door step, decorating it with crimson turned rust drops, and pounding loudly on the door. He's not entirely sure if its the apprehension of having to talk to someone or the blood loss but he's starting to feel a bit ill.
"... its Bos.." he said before letting his weight thump against the door frame, "need to talk to you.."

This was the first time in almost 2 weeks that the house was empty and he was so looking forward to the quiet and was lying in his bed on the verge of some very needed sleep and it wasn't like he had anything to do today, so this would be his day of of rest and relaxation. He had stopped thinking about her lately and was starting to accept the fact, that maybe she was over him, but he still couldn't feel that something wasn't right. Adrian decided to stop this trail of thought before going in deeper than he'd want to and lose the sleep he intended to get.
His eyes-lids started to get heavy as he lied on his large California king bed and prepared to doze off, suddenly he heard banging at the door. Why couldn't anyone just give him the peace and quiet he wanted? Adrian opened another eye, hoping that maybe they'd get the idea when no one answered the door and leave, boom boom boom! No such luck for the lycan apparently. He opened his eyes and sighed in frustration as he got up and walked out of his bedroom door. He was only wearing some briefs and wasn't going to be bothered to get dressed, he didn't give a damn if it was a bunch of girl scouts trying to sell cookies, maybe he'd scare them off and he'd like to scare anyone who wanted to ruin is sleep away.
Adrian started down the steps and before reaching down half way he could smell blood and a very, very rare scent. It smelled of bear. It wasn't something he had never really ever thought of, but a were-bear would quite a sight to see and looked down at the lack of clothes, maybe he should put something on. He ran up the stares and then hesitated when he realized the smell of the blood came from the bear, he then started down the stairs and hesitated again, now headed to his room again he threw on some sweats and grabbed some goz for the possibly wounds that bear had.
He shot down the stairs and went to open the door, looking up at a man with a head full of curls, he looked the bear over once to see where the wounds were. He grabbed the man putting the bear's good arm over his shoulder and carrying him to the kitchen, "What happened to you?" he asked, then another scent hit Adrian's nose, the man's breath smelled like human flesh. Adrian frowned as he sat the bear down and started wrapping his arm up, "So, what happened?" he asked again, now referring to the smell of human flesh.

Bos never was any good at this communication thing, it made him feel stupid and that made him mad, and that accompanied by his throbbing shoulder made him one grumpy boy. He'd had to pound a few times, shake the house back and forth before he heard noise from inside, what sounded like someone running back and forth, or maybe that was just his imagination.
When the door finally opened he was face to face with his first wolf, almost nude at that. A lithe muscular looking fellow, not too old judging by his eyes, not too sure about what he saw on his doorstep either. None the less he helped Bos into the house and gave him a place to sit. Even for a man Bos has always been big, and well, while in the form of a bear he can intimidate trucks. None of that currently matters, not with the pain he's in.
"uh.." he grunts, shifting uneasily in the chair, his nose twitching like a rabbit on crack, taking in all the scents of the place, marveling at modern technology. While Adrian began bandaging his shoulder up Bos sat still, grit teeth, as big a baby as they come. For his size he sure is a sissy.
"So, what happened?" the young one asked and Bos began to shake his head.
"bullet's still in there.." he grunted, willing himself to keep check of his temper. Its not these fellas that he's got beef with, he just needs to keep perspective, not go into that dark place that gets people killed.
"sleeping in my bed.. n' I wake up n they're staring me right in the face. Got guns pointed at me. I don't mean to do anything but there aint nowhere to go.. still I try to give them the chance. You know?"
Bos glanced over at Adrian, a glimmer of moisture in those dark brown eyes. He had to know. Bos couldn't be alone in this. The others must be hunted just as much as he, more so..
"I would just as soon have gone my way but then, but then.." Bos' shoulders began to heave and he got that tunnel vision, lips pulled away from his teeth to bare them as he growled quietly to himself, voice turned angry.
"bastard shot me. You believe that? Right in the shoulder, but he was trying to get my head. Said it'd look good on his wall. I wasn't doin' anything, doin' no one no harm. Just sleeping, and and AND---"
He had a way of getting carried away but he recognized it this time and he took several deep breaths that made his entire body shudder.
"and last thing I know I hear one of'm screaming and then I'm gone... just gone. don't know what's happening until I come back and his blood's all over me and I can taste him in my mouth. Other one running down the trail, I can feel the vibrations. That's why I come to tell you. People are going to come looking, thought you should know. I didn't mean to eat him."
