As you can see a lot has changed already and I am adding loads of new stuff all the time. So let me tell you all about the last few weeks and tell you what you have to look forward to. NEWS... Matthew and Chris both achieved their Tec Deep and TDI Extended Range qualifications. Ian tried to get his Semi Closed Rebreather Course done but couldn�t get out of bed, so he is trying again next week. Sheesh!!! Last Weekend, myself and Mike De Halpert went down to Vobster for a few days and Mike finished his Inspiration Closed Circuit Rebreather course, my first full teach on CCR. What a rip. Well done to you all you really deserved those cert cards!! I did an IDC in early May and all three candidates, Gary, Gareth and Kevin passed their Instructor exams at the weekend. Kevin had knot tying on the IE and after his performance (nearly Cock of the Month Status) on the IDC, all I can say is, God must love him!!! CLOTHING... I will be releasing some NEW Diving Matrix Hoodies and T shirts in the next few weeks, also a new hoody for Neptune�s Bitch. All apparel is designed and manufactured in conjunction with Jim at Fourth Element so you know they are gonna be cool. Men�s and Lady�s sizes. NEW COURSES.... I have just qualified as a PADI Cavern Instructor and Instructor Trainer so if that kind of stuff floats your boat (and it will) then let�s get caving. I am also able to offer PSA training up to Trimix level. I am writing a PADI twinset specialty that will work hand in hand with PSA�s Twinset Diver course. So all you guys with Unlimited Instructor Specialties will be able to upgrade to this rating. All you have to have is a Tech twinset certification or do the PSA Twinset course and Bob�s your uncle!!!! I have finally got off my butt and got my gas blending skills up to scratch. I will be running Nitrox/Trimix blender courses through my friend James� dive centre in West Norwood. I can teach DSAT and TDI Blender programmes. This really is a must for Trimix divers, especially those of us that may want to do expedition diving. My first course is on the 5th of June. CLUB... The club is now truly rocking, Gary has put a trip together to the M2 and the Salsette which has sold out, he also did a trip last weekend but according to john Wallis, the viz was�.. Bollocks!!!! Glenn is now trying to sort deep wrecks and also wants to do 80 metres at NDAC in Chepstow. In addition to that, I am taking some new tech guys to Malta to begin their training, and maybe check out the caverns while we are there. TRIPS... I am still trying to put together a trip to Egypt on a liveaboard in August and I have my Sardine Run Trip in July, which still has 4 places left on it. Also, I�m going to Malta with Sally in June. I would love to get another ICE trip together for next year, Russia probably, also Orcas and Ice in November some time and Mexico caving in March. Finally, I have a tech week for August and December based around the two Trimix courses I�m running. In addition to the sardine run in South Africa, Craig from scuba addicts has arranged a tiger shark dive using chummed water, this is an awesome event and you can expect tigers, black tips, dusky sharks, the lot. Hey and you can just chill in a single tank watching the world go by. WEBSITE... Paul B is gonna begin work any day now so keep �em peeled!!!! COURSES COMING UP... I am as busy as hell so here are all the dates of my courses booked so far, I will of course update this as and when and it will appear on the DLL and Matrix websites. Please feel free to give me a yell if you just want to dive on any of these dates, as far as I�m concerned the more the merrier; you don�t have to be on a course to dive with me. I am running IDC�s in England and abroad so if you want to staff on any of those programmes or you have a request please contact me and I�ll get you sorted. TECHNICAL DIVEMASTER... Some of you may not be aware that TDI offer a technical Divemaster course. Several of you have already finished the programme with me but some of you may want to get involved. I offer the programme for free to anyone that has done some tech training with me; all you pay for is the materials and membership, dive site access and gas. If you would like to chat to me about it, then drop me a line. You must have your own wing and back gas regulators and slates, timer, reel, SMB and exposure protection. Jessie, Mike, Gary, Gary, Ian and Glenn are already on the course. It�s not particularly hard work (unlike PADI DM), you will not be asked to run around after me, just help me in water to keep everyone safe. So really, it�s a course that lets you dive.
