SHIPS OF THE ARIAN FLEET
Note: Currently Arian technology is still based on the height of technological advance achieved during the reign of Darth Krayt and the One Sith. Due to the huge advancements made elsewhere, their ships are relatively obsolete on the modern battlefield. However, there are plans to upgrade the fleet with modern technology. Once this occurs all stats will be updated accordingly. Note: 4 is an unlucky number in Arian culture thus their squadrons are 9 in number and their flights are in groups of three. FIGHTERS AF-1 Series 190032 Raiser Wing Affiliation: Arian Fleet Producer: Arian Shipyards Size: 15 meters Weaponry: Two laser canons, one advanced torpedo launcher, stiletto razor edged wings. Crew: 1 Pilot, can carry one co-pilot or passenger as needed. Flight Characteristics: (relatively) High speed, light shielding, light hull Design Philosophy: The Arian's sole fighter is relic behind the times. Updated back during the reign of Darth Krayt, the fighter's design has evolved very slowly and has behind the curve of the galaxy's recent technological advancements. Originally these fighters were the mainstay of a forgotten Sith fleet, their sole purpose to overwhelm and subdue the capital ships of an attacking fleet. However, the Razor Wings have a very innovative feature not found on any other starfighter in the galaxy. The AF-1 engineers developed a way to set vibro blades into the edges of the wings of the fighter, allowing it to veritably slice through a weakened ship's hull. This advantage literally gave the Arians the edge when they stood off against the Mandalorians in the war. ![]() CAPITAL SHIPS CC-30098 Harbor-class Carrier Affiliation: Arian Fleet Producer: Arian Shipyards Size: 82.06 meters Weapons: 10 vintage turbolasers, 2 composite beam laser turrets, and 10 torpedo launchers. Complement: 9 to 18 fighters Flight Characteristics: Medium-slow speed, heavy shielding, light weaponry, medium hull. Design Philosophy: The Arian carrier is an extremely small capital vessel intended to be used in mass. The small vessels are extremely maneuverable and much faster than it's fellow ships. For the Arian fleet, the ratio of carriers to frigates is higher than most to allow for fighters to be deployed en mass. The crew of the Arian carriers are also small, devoting ninety percent of the capacity of the ship to hangar space. ![]() FGC-1250 Backer-class Frigate Affiliation: Arian Fleet Producer: Arian Shipyards Size: 300 meters Weapons: 39 vintage turbolasers, 3 composite beam laser turrets Complement: 6 fighters Flight Characteristics: Slow speed, medium shielding, light weaponry, medium hull Design Philosophy: The Arian Frigate is a light cruiser that composes the bulk of the Arian Fleet's capital ships. By Arian standards, it combines good fire power, protection, and speed. ![]() Arian Flagship Harper's Way Affiliation: Arian Fleet Producer: Arian Shipyards Size: 2,400 meters Weapons: 300 vintage turbolasers, 36 composite beam laser turrets Complement: Up to 10 squadrons Flight Characteristics: Slow speed, heavy shielding, light weaponry, medium-light hull Design Philosophy: The Arian Flagship is the lone capital vessel of their fleet. One and a half times the size of a Thrawn-class Star Destroyer, it has the potential to dominate the battlefield. Unfortunately the limitations of Arian technology and their seclusion from the Galaxy have rendered it to be obsolete. Yet their are few species in the Unknown Regions who could match the might of the massive warship. In general, the Harper's Way stays out of the minor battles the fleet may encounter. However, Zhu E'XingXin claims the Harper's Way as her personal ship and stores her fighter (a specialized AF-1) on board for her use with her squadron. -------------------- |

No, really, this month we'll go through it. Sorry, we're negligent parents apparently.

(I don't have mod powers as of yet so I'll just post this separately for now.)

I'll integrate this in...
...one question though, for the Arians is a flight 3 or 4 fighters? -------------------- |

Four is an unlucky number in Arian culture, three is a lucky one. A squadron should probably be either 9 fighters as opposed to the standard 12.
