You know what this place needs more of? Interesting. About 100% more. Unless I get overwhelming objection, I'm opening a Debate forum. In fact, I may ignore all objection and do it anyway.

While we're discussing it, do you have your own ideas that would make this place more interesting? Do share them here, would you?

Debate's a good idea.

I think more interest would be good. I'm also aware that we don't necessarily need more members -- and indeed, if we can make this place more interesting without going out of our way to find tons and tons of OMG IM NEW people, that'd be epic. This forum's kind of like a little haven on the internet, a small virtual town where we all know each other. I like it that way.

Dunno 'bout Pat. IIRC, he split this forum off from the site -- we are now related in name only, I think. But I could be misremembering. It was so long ago...

Sorry for being away for so long. I think it illustrates my point, however. In spite of just being a small haven, this place has persistence.

As for Patrick, he hasn't been around in ages. I believe that at this point, we're only associated by name. Patrick has an oekaki of his own, and that's where fans of the site gather.

This begs an important question: If we are no longer formally associated with the main page, what is the main driving purpose of this page? It appears to me that we focus on entertainment, our own creative works, and our own individual quirkiness.

Anyhow, the debate forum will come soon. At the same time, I'll be back on with a vengeance.
