FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. WHAT TYPE OF BOARD IS THIS? Conclusions Manifest has recently been upgraded to a full blown Marvel Universe AU RP styled on elements of a few different 'earths' that have been created. What this means is that we mesh together concepts and elements of a couple of their versions enable to bring about a better over all setting. the mixed universes that we have here are: Ultimate Universe, Mainstream or 616 Universe, X-Men Evolution, and Wolverine and the X-Men as well as more liberty with the characters than most other boards we have seen do. As stated above we do allow for a majority of the the Marvel Comics characters on here as well and if any specific questions arise feel more than free to PM the staff telling us your concerns on how to adapt a character and we will help you anyways that we can.
02. HOW DO OTHER MARVEL CHARACTERS WORK HERE? The majority of character are treatment pretty much how the X-Men characters were treated in Evolution as well as Ultimate, younger than their mainstream selves. This doesn't mean that everyone is reverted to a teenager but just considerably younger than their well known counterparts. A good example of this is how Ultimate did the Fantastic Four, all of their members were considerably younger than what most people know them as being. Reed Richards who is originally the oldest member is normally in his early or mid forties but here like in Ultimate he could be in his mid twenties. Ben Grimm is in his late thirties to his early forties but here would be in his mid to late twenties with Susan and Johnny Storm being in their earlier twenties. Now in terms of mystical and alien characters, we allow them but it is recommended that you consult a member of staff concerning placement and how they would work out before doing so.
03. WHATS GOING ON WITH THE 'NO ORIGINALS' RULE? We the staff decided that do to our branching out into the whole Marvel Universe that it would be best to stop accepting original characters at least for the time being. Allowing many more canon characters to be on the board gives people far more freedom in their selection and since many character's history sections might only have some of their past permitted much of it can be spun to be unique to this board (within reason) basically making them originals in at least history anyway. The few originals we have on the board already were created before the block was put up and so are allowed on the board still. When the block on originals is going to be dropped or even if it is going to be dropped period has not yet been decided but when it is you shall be informed.
04. WHAT DO YOU MEAN CANON ARE MORE ORIGINAL HERE? It means that at least in the history it is expect that some of the character will need to be done out of the player's own imagination. We do have Avengers and groups like it around but many of the events may not have taken place or a person's past may not match up concerning dates and when this happens we allow for a person to make it up themselves. However we expect it to be within reason of the character, what this means is that someone like Reed Richards isn't going to have at one point in time been a gang member or something of the like. You can ask ahead of time or as you do your application on what would need to be removed from their history or redone if you aren't sure on it or we can tell you as we grade it and PM you solutions. Although it might lead to slightly more work it gives people the chance to make up their own version of their favorite character thats still within limits of that character and deliveries almost the same need to create something of your own as an original character does.
05. ARE ANY OF THE CANONS LISTED FORCED TO STAY IN THE CATEGORY THEY ARE LISTED? Not all of them, we know that characters in the comics switch from hero to villain, to neutral or any such order all the time and do allow for mixing as well. Where they are placed int he canon list is simply what 'side' the have been known to be on most or best but we do allow for them to be treated as neutral or villain if they fit such groups. We do ask however that it be explained in the application itself how this change came around within the history section.
06. WHAT ABOUT THE MOVIES AND WIKIPEDIA/MARVEL DATABASE? They all suck harder than a black hole........oh alright here's a better answer. We do not follow the movies at all and nothing about them is included on this board so we ask that aside from PB choices that would still fit that nothing from any of the movies is used. As far as Wikipedia or the Database which is a wikia (a Wikipedia just for whatever the subject is about) is concerned, please direct your attention to this. In case that doesn't answer itself we simply don't allow it at all. The database is 'alright' for a general idea of a character but due to its info being grossly incorrect and an unreliable source of information if you must know details that you don't already know or need to be refreshed on your character we suggest that comicvine be used or you ask staff.
07. WHATS UP WITH THE FACTIONS HERE? If you've looked at our canon list you will see that we have chosen not to cut it up into numerous factions such as Avengers, Alpha Flight, Defenders, Excalibur etc etc. What we have decided to do is simply cut it into smaller groups making it easier to manage. I'll explain it a little for everyone just in case more information is needed. The first group is mutants and like all the others it doesn't contain all that we will allow just simply those that we put down. In the application where it asks for what faction you want to put them under mutants are group that is able to fight just about anywhere. You can mark them as neutral or villain or even hero if you feel like it. If they are in a group such as Masters of Evil or Avengers make sure to put that as well in the faction section. So far only the X-Men and X-Factor groups have their bases as their own categories with sub forums however once enough of any other group joins they two shall have their own category for their bases.
