Lucas Scott

Lucas is trying to deal with the death of his uncle, while also trying to figure out if he believes that Jimmy actually shot his uncle. On top of that, old feelings for Peyton have begun to spring up, and he's now smack dab in the middle of his two favorite girls again and is too scared to just chose one.

Peyton Sawyer

While Peyton is still dealing with the death of her mother, she also now has to deal with a wounded leg, and the emotional rollercoaster ride that was the death of Keith Scott. Wanting to be there for Lucas, she once again goes behind Brooke's back to show Lucas how much she loves him.

Nathan Scott

Also devastated by his uncle's death, he leans on Haley, and puts all his effort into trying to make his marriage work with her. Nathan also tears away from Dan after the shooting, proclaiming it should have been him rather than Keith.

Haley James

Trying to be there for her ex-husband, she too is having a struggling time over Keith, but her number one priority is to make things alright with Nathan again. Deciding to put her music on hold totally now, she moves in with Nathan at his parent's house, which only Deb resides in.

Brooke Davis

Deciding to turn her grief into creative juices, Brooke puts all her energy into Clothes Over Bros. Even resulting in the clothing store she works at, Suburban Filth to promote her line and her sketches. On top of that one thing falling into place, Brooke fears Lucas is pulling away from her, and even worse, right onto her best friend.

Mouth McFadden

Deeply scarred by the death of Jimmy Edwards, Mouth finds Rachel to fall back on instead, he finds her able to take away the pain and guilt he feels, and he even finds himself going into the rebel track a little bit, and also shying away from some of his other friends.

Rachel Gatina

Though her and the 'in' crowd are starting to become friends, even Brooke. Rachel still knows what it's like to be the ultimate outcast, now seeing as everyone's world has been turned around by the two deaths, Rachel finds her abilities in Mouth, not only making him feel better, but also turning him into someone Rachel finds she may be attracted to.
