I just wondered what you thought; I value your opinions *cough cough*

I liked the books because the movies left stuff out and the books took me longer to finish.

they are both incredible, the film is extrodinarily made. So there is no real difference to me, the book was also great and LOTR is one of my secret passions tongue.gif

I agree with Glrenwing...they were both awesome. I'm siding a little more on the movies though.

Exactly, I hate when a book is really good, but has very boring parts. One part in LoTR was in the first one at the counsil of elders (I think that's what it was called)...I almost fell asleep reading it.

I always like books better when movies are based off of them, LOTR is no exception ^^

I actually found the books boring. I read them, I liked the hobbit. But the others dragged for me. I loved the films though.

I loved them both, the films re-kindled my obsession for them. I disliked the travelling sections with frodo and sam, yawn.

Fighting scenes are much better in movies, but I found I liked both parts equally in the books, movies need to up their quality in traveling scenes.

lolz, I thought Lord of the Rings was done masterfully. Unlike harry potter films (angry me) Lord of the Rings had little to wish for, it was all there with very little missed out. (well Haldir wasnt at helms deep in the book...yet he died there in the film. Warg didnt attack on the way to helms deep. And where was barrows?? and Tom bombadil?? oh well I still loved the films.)

On a side note, yay, Vali!
