Now that the Fall season is only a month or so away...how do you suppose the writers will deal with Chris's exit? My suggestion: Handle it like Dallas did back with the whole Bobby Ewing departure. Only with an Oz twist. Have Beecher walk into the bathroom shower with Chris/Elliot soaping up. It would be an more effective way of addressing Stabler's departure AFTER 12 SEASONS than I foresee Dick Wolf cooking up. Oh yes, and it would be awesome.

Luci--That is a perfect scenario. In an odd way, it almost seems plausible too.

Easy scenario if they choose to even mention Stabler's departure would be that he is on some kind of medical leave due to the emotional shooting. They used a change of venue for Olivia when MH needed time off after giving birth but only this time Stabler isn't assigned to a new department. They'll drop all mention of Stabler after that.

Wolf thinks we all have short spans of memory and eventually FORGET STABLER.
