2 timothy 3:16 NIV
All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righousness, so that the man of God may be thorougthly equipped for every good work. Especially now with some churches allowing homosexually to come inside their churches with electing of openly gay bishop. Some Churches in California (non-demonational) and other churches as well has allowed their ministers to be openly gay and embracing the gay lifestyle as part of their church. The Elders has voted for it! Should their congregations question the new Doctrines in their churches? Should their congregation stand up to them for preaching another gospel other than what the Bible teaches? How? |

yes I believe any church that is not teaching Bible-ordained doctrine should be questioned. I'm not exactly sure how they'd go about questioning the elders of the church, but yes it should be done.

It's getting harder and harder to oppose these new morals.
If, in my country, a minister preaches that homosexuality is sin, he can get into trouble, for the law says that hetero's and homosexuals are completely equal and it is forbidden to discriminate. If, at my school, one of my pupils asks if the Bible is against men with men and women with women, and I say : "Yes, it's here in this and this and this book and chapter and verse", they could bring me before a judge and I could be accused of sowing hatred. So every church keeps silent about it, with exception of the very liberal ones, who do matrimonial services for homo- and lesbian couples. Now THIS is peculiar.....: the Muslims in my country are anti-homosexual practices too, based on the Q'oran and as Dutch people tend to be afraid of the Muslims, this gives a little bit of support to the people who still believe that marriage between a man and a woman is sacred. Strange world.. isnīt it? |

YES! Should their congregation stand up to them for preaching another gospel other than what the Bible teaches? How? YES! I think we individually need to question things that do not seem right. Take it to the elders, individually or at a meeting so we are sure what the stance is. If you do not agree with their viewpoints on these matters then look for another church. If it is openly known that people are in disagreement then things may change, but if no one says anything nothing will change. JMHO I know the United Congregation Church is very open to the "alternative" lifestyles. The pastor of the one here in town was our neighbor and he was openly gay. I've noticed the United Methodist Church advertising quite a bit lately and (to me it appears) portraying themselves as open to the "alternative" lifestyle. Geilah, wow, I didn't know that things were getting that bad in Holland. Have they abolished or ever had freedom of speech? or of religion? Now I know why our first exchange student from Holland was so confused by our belief that homosexuality is wrong. |
