Sonic the hedgehog, My opinion of it.

I'm going to try and start a disution about our little speedy blue friend.

I've been a Sonic fan ever since my parents bought me a "Sonic The Comic" comic during a fary trip to spain. And i was captivated by the review of the first sonic game (the second when i got another one a year later, again on a fary trp to spain), and pestered my dad over and over again to get me it.

I did get it my following birthday, and I loved it, and since then i've tried to get (or at least play on) every single Sonic game. And over The past 16 (I think. I lose track of time) I feel the series has had alot of up and downs.

My favourite game of the series has to be Sonic 3 & Knuckles (If only because of super Tails ). the 3d Games have tried there best to emilate the older games, But i just don't feel they as good. Some of the 3d games are good. I quite likes Sonic Adventure, and Shadow the hedgehog. sure the camra angles are a pain at times but apart from that i feel there great.

Recent Sonic games, like Unleashed, are a step in the right direction to bring Sonic back to how he was back in the Mega drive (genesis) era. With all things said and done, i feel that the Sonic series is on a level level, neither acending nor decenting. Wether or not i think it'll service the modern era will depend ont he next main sonic game (Not counting black knight).
They've proved they CAN make a decent sonic level now, lets see if they can follow it up with a sonic game to challenge the classics of the 2d games.

i agree i am a big fan of sonic and i hope that the next sonic game will be just as great as the classics

Yeah. I apsalutly hate what they've done to robotnik. I used to belive he WAS capable of taking over the world.

I think that's why some people want Eggman to be named Robotnik again. Eggmans a laughing stock.

Agreed. Is it just me, or does Eggman seem like a fat joke?
I mean, how are you supposed to take a villain seriously if his own name is mocking him?

yeah.
In adventure it was just a nickname, then from adventure 2 it seemed to have stuck.

I don't think anyone will take him seriously again unless the next game comes out with him nearly killing Tails, Amy, Cream etc. Which is not going to happen in a Sonic game.... or will it. My favorite character was always Knuckles, then Shadow.
