Things that will result in a permanent ban

* Links to or pictures from goatse, tubgirl, victim pics, hardcore pornography etc.
* Excessive spamming.
* Excessive trolling.
* Excessive warezing.
* Attempting to evade ANY pre-existing ban e.g. by creating new accounts.
* Not heeding repeated warnings and/or one-week bans.
* Actions harming or disrupting the forum to any major extent.

NOTE: WE RETAIN THE RIGHT TO BAN YOU AT ANY TIME EVEN IF WE DON'T HAVE A PARTICULAR REASON FOR IT! (Chances are we won't, but this disclaimer is necessary for all the smartasses out there who think they can find and exploit loopholes in the rules).

Things that will result in a one-week ban

* Breaking the NSFW rules
* Quote tunnelling more than 2 quotes deep.
* Not following an admins/mods requests.
* Sassing an admin/mod or deliberately trying to make their life harder.
* Posting on behalf of someone who's banned.
* Not heeding repeated warnings.
* Actions harming or disrupting the forum to any minor extent.

Things that will result in warnings and/or should be avoided

* Breaking the Signature/Avatar rules
* Breaking the Warez rules
* Talking of your love life and sexual practices. If you really must, try and keep it as clean as possible and purposeful.
* Attention whoring.
* Attempting to act like a moderator. Don't try and handle rule breaking yourself, PM a super moderator / admin if you have something to report.
* Discussion of illegal drugs should be kept within academic or newsworthy limits only.
* Light spamming.
* Deliberately flaming. You are allowed to disagree with someone, but know the difference between disagreeing/flaming and debating/arguing.
* Derailing a thread.
* Resurrecting a dead thread. Anything past 2 weeks old is more or less out of the question.
* Spoilers that are not clearly marked as such. Always err on the side of courtesy, even for older stuff.

NOTE: Everything is relative to the scale of the 'crime'. Resurrecting a thread from June 2003 is a lot worse than resurrecting one from 3 weeks ago. Punishments will be handed out accordingly!
