Here is my German steampunk battleship with inverted hull technique. I could use some advice, 'cause this was incredibly hard to make, and I'm sure there are better ways to make it. Overall, I like it though.

Impressive design with inverting the hull. And using the space police torsos was cool too -they work well on the germans. smile.gif

Thanks! Yes, I thought the SP torsos looked pretty good for steampunk. smile.gif

That is an excellent looking battleship. I am also impressed with the inversion of the hull. Its good to know that there is someone out there who shares my steampunk battleship fetish.

I love the way you did that! I never thought of turning that upside down. How did you get the helmets?

I love steampunk... need more of that!

I think one of Graynar's comics was a good steampunk - influenced comic.

Thanks, gus! biggrin.gif

@QM: Actually, I got the idea from a tank some guy made a long time ago by turning an old front hul piece into a tank. So I figured, why not the whole hull?

The helmets came from rickForge. smile.gif

Woops! I meant BrickForge! blink.gif They also just released another helmet. I think they said it's based on an M-1 helmet, or something. It looks like an American WWII-Vietnam helmet. smile.gif

Oh, yes indeed, Quilly, they are quality products certain to fill in LEGO's blanks. I keep wanting to buy their sticker sheets too. They look awesome and would be really useful to castle/pirate builders; you may want to look into buying some. They also have an awesome forum of which I'm a member. smile.gif
