Thats right folks. Space. S.p.a.c.e, or is it? To tell the truth- no. Its on earth, well, Legoland earth. Kind of like Fallout, but with mechas, and trikes.
The year is 2100 (counting from the death of Orlan, God in post-legoland, considered to be the beginning of when man must work on its own without him and magic). While most people have through the years looked to the skies and left earth, such as the Explorien, M:Tron, Blacktron, Spyrius, the people now living on the iceplanet (and has done so since 2002) and many others, fighting the UFO and Insectoids, the legoworld is becoming emptied of people. However, the Exo-force country, built from former The Shogunate (legoworlds version of Japan) was for a while left with medieval life and machines walking hand in hand, until the terrible things happened and war broke out- who made the machines go mad? The Exo-force ignored any advances to get out from the world, and as stubborn as they are, try to defeat the machines While Sentai mountain has been the most known battleground, battles goes on in the world's large cities still. Those who didnt flee from the Dinosaur invasion are either now living on Sentai mountain, or worse, stuck in the urban wastelands. But here, it seems that it is even more clear who may be behind the machines uproar, and why the dinosaur experiments failed 2010... Our story follows a cadet in the Exo-force armies who volunteers to save people in the urban chaos, but the ship crashes and he must save himself from the inhabbitats, from the trike-gangs, robots (especially Patrol Turrets), the mysterious "Black Angel" cult, and others. Since it is in a way related to The Sorceror's Return, somethings may be recognized. Since its in the future, swearings will be common, but the foul ones (others than "bloody" and the like, that is) will be "bricked" like the censor here, actually, the foulest swearing and its different versions are mentioned beneath: Stud Studding Studder Dumbstud Studded Studtard It will be fun when its done. Not sure if this is the place to say it, if you want Quilly you can move this thread to off-topic. -------------------- |

Oh man this story sounds good! Is this story also in comic format? Or is it story like?
I look forward to seeing this. PS: Who could the Black Angel cult be? |

Heh heh heh - that is funny - you're starting a whole dictionary of LEGO curse words over there... put it next to the Merion-Webster! ![]() I agree - that sounds really cool - it is still the same land, but muuuuuch later into the future... but it seems as though remnaints of the Sorceror will still be in action eh? Cool cool cool... I like this because it is a space story, but with a different twist - although I haven't read many space stories, I think this one is obviously different because... well, it takes place more on the planet than in the stars (I am guessing...) Can't wait to check it out! -------------------- |

The lego aliens will also take a part of the story. The Hive-based Overlord species (UFO), the Colonial Insectoids, and the apathic Martians who cannot express any emotions, but seems to have a very potent military.
A piece (especially control panels and stuff like that) that are specific for a certain lego faction will be used by those working together, or from those who scavenge parts from destroyed enemies. To all War of the Worlds fans; the Overlords will have tripods! (Sorry but the martians look a little too pathetic to use these sinister-looking warmachines). -------------------- |

After building some mechas I decided to give you all a hint on the factions:
Exo-Force: Human resistance army of the far east, located on Sentai Mountain. They have a better situation than most other nations, and can pay for the expenses of giving support to other groups. Futuron Resistance: The last remnants of Futuron on earth, fighting the machines in the wastes of World City. The Machines: An alliance of androids, cybers and various other AI-based machines from the entire planet, lead by The Leader. The Machines also place a human leaders to control the humans as puppets for themselves. Robots used by the army are the following: Probe: Small flying observer. Android: Human sized machine. Cyber: Mecha-sized or Hardsuit sized robot. Sentry: A rolling tower. AI-*: "AI-Tank", "AI-Fighter", a vehicle without a pilot. World City Citizens: The people following the machines, primarily used in various biological experiments. These poor wretches follow the machines by fear or trust in their puppet politicans. Black Angel Cult: A mysterious sect of humans, insectoids and overlords, trying to create something called "Krohlbargg", lead by the sociopathic Last Son, having a striking resemblance to someone in The Sorceror's Return... -------------------- |

Wow... this is a pretty sweet setup here... it looks like there are 3-4 major factions all mixed up together... although it could get confusing, it can also be very very cool...
I must confess to being the most curious about the Black Angels, but the Mechs sound cool as well ~ -------------------- |

I will begin working on the city tomorrow, and will hopefully post some pics of the creations.
PS: Futurons on earth may not have spacesuits, but they do have jellybeanish soldiers (Futuron is from the beginning Morcia). I bought the Robo Platoon set for some days ago, changed them a little and they ended up looking like Gundams... Hopefully I will get my hands on Titan XP soon enough... Mwhaha. -------------------- |

Update: Black Angels will not play the major role as baddies in this story, but a larger role somewere in the middle (bots will be the baddies most of the time) infact, a new neutral faction will appear that only consists of two very strange indiviuals who also take alot of "plot-space", an ancient prototype of Titan XP built before all the Titans were destroyed; Abaddon, a Titan XP that is modified and seem to like to collect its victim's bones... The other one is a small girl dressed in a fine vesture, though bloody and ragged. She will probably play a larger role than our main character... She is far more interesting.
The girl actually has a custom hairdo, kinda Sailor Moon-ish. Ive yet to decide if her hair will be purple or green though. It actually took me some time to decide if this story was of Lego-quality, I actually wanted to save this for a real manga (meaning, Im kind of proud of it). -------------------- |

Update: I got the Exo-force and with it, I gave Chris a facelift (he looks really cool now) and alot of other things. However, Im having problems with this story;
The thing is, most of the time it will take place in a ruined city, but this holocaust is hard to make since every quarter of the city has its own appearance, and the city is so large that they wont ever go back to the same place... Therefore, I was thinking of using backgrounds but I cant find any fitting... Any help? To more stuff: A funny thing is our main character (Yamato) wont have an Exo-force head at all, instead, he will actually have a standard smilie! This is because its much easier doing facial expressions with the standard one than the Exo-force heads, and it makes him look kinder Infact, only a small portion of the people in this story will use those heads! The reason is that only those hailing from Sentai-mountain will look like that, though wierd haircolors (like blue) can be worn be anyone. The first chapter will include alot of rebuilds of official mechas, since I thought they looked like anorexia victims I made them a little better armored, and fixed the backside that seriously lacked. -------------------- |

You mean some kind of real life backgrounds that looks like a ruined city?

Almost, I was thinking more painted or computer animated backgrounds since the look of a war-torn New York-like city is hard to find. Another thing that just struck me; Should I make the second chapter being the first chapter, and the first the second? It may seem confusing, but its much easier for me to do the second one, and add up to the fun of "how did he end up there?". -------------------- |

This story sounds exciting! I really want to see how it's going to look when published. Is their going to be mech battles?
Here's a few finds: http://www.avalon3d.com/citytut_image002.jpg this one may need some editing but it has some good buildings. http://www.planetxbox.com/mechassault/ruined-city.jpg computer generated http://www.thebeholder.org/backissues/issu...ges/streets.jpg this one is computer generated and very generic Hope these help a little bit. |

Thanks Graynar! That makes things alot easier!
Yes, there will be ALOT of mecha battles, almost no normal ones actually (since just about every character has his own mecha or giant robot pal). Ive been using all kinds of mechas to make it interesting; anime-ish mechas, "westernese" (mechwarrior), cartoon robots, HG Wells & other classic ones (like Tripods), and many more. -------------------- |
