Title: Your avatars...
Quill Master - December 4, 2005 10:51 AM (GMT)
Hordesman's latest avatar promted me to consider this new thread... basically... what's the story behind your avatar?
I know several members have switched theirs around from time to time, although I've been happy with the one I have (despite it's possible boring qualities).
Mine is actually a character from my written (but not published) story "The Black Scroll of Ragnok" - a somewhat gothic story (well, as far as I know) taking place in Legelot, but far away from Chiron, where the current story is taking place. I chose this character because he plays the part of a wise, persistant and dedicated leader in the face of enormous hordes of enemies... ahh the fun. ;)
The Hordesman - December 4, 2005 11:07 AM (GMT)
Whenever I get my hand on the Exo-force hairdos, I will do this character.
He is a "-eas" like Carneas and Gilneas, but unlike them he does not care about The Sorceror at all. He is a lazy immortal who prefers sleeping under a tree over anything else, and he is never ever happy, just looks bored most of the time. His fighting skills however, is quite unique. ;)
I will do this face on a peach face, the first peach person in the story. :D

That sounds very cool indeed. I have yet to see such a character in LEGO format, but I think I can imagine this character in your story - it is full of a wide array of different personalities. I know you'll hate to hear it, but it kind of reminds me of some of the characters in DBZ, who sit and relax as the others fight away (I will now duck under my desk to avoid flying objects from Europe ;)).
I must also say, it's good to see that your comic will continue as well... Your last chapter was very long, but quite good - and the first time I saw a story of any kind with the vikings.

My avatar is Kenshin from my favorite anime. Thanks to GIMP I have edited it to put my screen name in there ;)
Maedhros - December 4, 2005 02:31 PM (GMT)
Guess what my avatar is ;-)
Well.... the story behind it is called: eyeliner...

Actually, he was inspired by myself when really bored, and a character from Bleach which i cant remember the name of (but he is a womanizer and a little more happy fellow than this guy). His fighting style... I have no idea where that came from.

Graynar - December 4, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
I have been changing my avatar a lot lately, most of them represent my mood, a character from a show I like, or my sigfig. Lately I had Christmas Graynar up, but I have changed it to my wolf friend here for the time being.

I saw that bit of editing Shadow - pretty slick-looking... although I have yet to see Kenshin. ;-)

Ha ha - I expected as much...!

Mine is my sig fig. I just edited on the light from his staff.
Nick Durron - December 7, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
My avatar is... going to change as soon as I have a chance to publish my site. For now, I'm stuck using the library computer once a week, with no way to publish my site, or change my avatar.
You were probably wondering what that big S stood for, and why it's there. Well, in my story, The Fifth Sector, there is an organization called the Forces of Semtorac, or the FS. The S on my avatar stands for Semtorac, which is an important planet in my story. For more information on The Fifth Sector, you can read the novel I am writing. I hope to finish it soon, and publish it.
My new avatar will likely be a picture from The Realms of Arzog, but it'll be a picture from a future chapter that I haven't finished yet.
Myrddin - December 7, 2005 05:43 PM (GMT)
Oh, I had always thought the 'S' had something to do with your name...

Me too... it wasn't until I was adding your space story to the Scriptorium that I realized where the pic came from...
Myrddin, your avatar is pretty cool... I have been wondering how you got the rays of light coming from the head of the staff to come out?
Myrddin - December 11, 2005 05:43 PM (GMT)
GIMP has differant light affects you can use, so I just had to change it to fit on the staff, the colors, and how bright it was. Actually quite simple. Though, I bet Graynar could descripe it much better.

This latest change is very cool! Moving LEGO - is that construction to be in your next story?

Oh thank you, I wasn't sure anyone noticed it. That is a character from my next story, I hope you like him. He is one of those-how to make some one evil, not evil, kind of character. If you remember that thread.
The Hordesman - January 5, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
New avatar! Actually the friend of my old one.
Songsoul the very happy person. :D

I was just looking at some of your characters last night (including this one and the one with the cool/evil-looking shield). Your story continues to have a lot of very cool characters involved... I also like the black bodyguard (older character), with the custom torso... that guy looks very cool.

I do... this should be interesting to see...
Maedhros - January 7, 2006 01:00 PM (GMT)
Oh, I guess I should say something about my new avatar....
Well....itīs just a bloody rose (literally ;)) and I dunno...thought it was beautiful... probably reflects my personality quite a bit... I have a love of sorrow, tragedy and romance gone wrong (what would you expect from someone who spends his life playing roleplaying games about vampires, reading vampire-novels, reading Tolkien and listening to Nightwish :))
The Hordesman - January 16, 2006 06:27 AM (GMT)
Speaking of avatars, Im experiencing problems with my new one, it looks like the old one, just pressed together for me. Sheit!
Legolas - January 16, 2006 04:33 PM (GMT)
I have changed it to Jawas! Yay!
:spear:
Nick Durron - January 18, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
After CW came back up, my old avatar was a big red x, so I needed a new one. If you look, you can see that half of the minifigure in it is Arzog, and the other half is a character for my story that has not yet been introduced. When I first made the image, it wasn't intended to be an avatar (I was expirementing with putting two images together).

I saw it on brickshelf and thought it was a spoiler (the other guy being Arzog's true form, or something like that) and I thought I had ruined the reading... This info saved me. :D
Well, if it is like that then Im atleast left unaware until I find out that I was right from the beginning... :P
Im still having problems with my avatar, it just cramps the original image and does not change it to the new one.

Are you trying to have a new picture for your avatar Hordesman? Sometimes I wonder if the forum software is a little buggy when it comes to graphic-swapping and all of that. I wonder what the new image you want to replace it with is? If you want, you can PM me the image and I'll try to change it for you B) .
Nick, your avatar is very cool indeed - I hadn't noticed that it was a split of two different characters... I'm wondering if this is the next (future) Arzog we are seeing... Guess I will find out. :P
Graynar - January 23, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
I don't know if you noticed, but my avatar has changed again. Behold! The construction of Graynar! The same pieces I used in my animated movies, come to life as my avatar.
I hope you like it. ;)
Maedhros - January 23, 2006 07:51 AM (GMT)
Hehe... that oneīs really cool, Graynar. Very unique at least ;)
vahkimetru - January 24, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
Switched my avatar to one made by BZPower member Cee-Estee for me, though I added the 9/11 bit to remember that sad and tragic day. Anyways, it looks like we have a really great community of cool avatars! :D
Cyclonis - January 24, 2006 09:31 AM (GMT)
I use to have a shadowknight as my avatar, with a crown on top, until I realised that it had nothing to do with my story
But now it is changed! Look!
Its a character from The Tale of Venolia. It will be coming soon to the site. You're probably thinking that it looks crazy, but it's the head of his (Kayfir's) new boat, you fools! :P
Maedhros - January 24, 2006 07:41 PM (GMT)
Looks like a LEGO muppet :D
An agent of supreme evil I presume :P

When I first saw your newest Graynar avatar I actually laughed out loud - not because I didn't like it but because it is cool! I was suprised but I should have guessed we might see something like that with the work you've been doing with the graphics animation program. I like. :spear:

Your Shadow King was very cool - I liked the lightning in the background there. This one is also pretty cool not a bad amount of detail included from what I can see. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the ship in your story.
Cyclonis - January 29, 2006 10:30 AM (GMT)
Thanks, he'll be coming sometime a bit later in the story. I don't think that I'll have chapter 2 up by the end of January, by the way. Maybe sometime in Feb, though ;)
Graynar - February 10, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
I can never find an avatar to display that I enjoy looking at.
Sakura will have to do for now...
Quill Master - February 10, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)
I know Hordesman has explained this somewhere, somehow... but I have to confess that I've forgotten who Sakura is...
Still, looks pretty sweet. :)
Maedhros - February 10, 2006 07:38 AM (GMT)
A girl from Naruto. I think she is a bit boring... But at least itīs from Naruto :D

It takes some time before she can actually fight, but when she well gets to learn how to fight and heal, she rocks bigtime. B)
Those pics of Sakura are very nice! I cant recall them from anywere... Fanart?
Graynar - February 10, 2006 10:31 PM (GMT)
Hey guys,
Yeah about Sakura, I've only seen two episodes of Naruto, and she's cute for an animated character but I have never seen her do anying but yell at the little blonde haired dude-Naruto?

Quick liking. :P
I would recommend you reading the manga instead, even though the series is good to about 100 (when the censore kicks in that is, though the american version has most of the very bloody scenes removed) and the manga does not contain the annoying filler episodes...

Funny enough, I've seen a Naruto comic in the Japanese teaching class room. They were in black and white unfortunately, but the drawing is very impressive.
One day I'll have to show you guys a few of my comics. ;)

I dont think there are many colored mangas, its kind of standard with black and white since Astroboy's days. :P

Give Quill Master the link or pic and see if he can use his admin powers to replace the current one you have.
Otherwise I don't know...
