ooc; so I am just setting this up as people sitting in a cafe. This can literally go anywhere. I also have an adult male and another adult female I can use for this. I think it would be interesting if a female student joined them, wondering why they were sitting together. Idunno. Sorry it's lazy, its finals week!
Maureen Conley, english teacher at Red Brook High School, was removing the lid to her coffee as gently as she could. The last thing she wanted was for her three dollar cup of joy to spill onto her tan pencil skirt. Although three bucks seemed expensive for a coffee, the cafe was more well known for its ambiance, considering it served more than seven hundred customers a day in this very small town. It was so close to the high school that Maureen moseyed on over there after work, only when the clubs she was advisor to were not running.
Today, Maureen was not alone. The twenty six year old sat opposite of a seventeen year old student of hers, Colin Caufield. The boy was tall, yet far too thin for his lanky height. "So, what is that, like a mocha frappucoffee-expresso-skim-nofat?" he teased, moving swept dark hair from his eyes. For a high school senior, Colin looked his age. There was the hint of his baby face, evident in round cheeks and small, pouty lips, but the emergence of true masculinity just beginning to peek.
"Hazelnut coffee with a dash of soy milk. Close." Maureen rolled her eyes, used to his jokes by now. Maureen was only twenty five, only a two year veteran of the school. So far, no complaints. Not major, anyway. Conley had made quite a few friends amongst her fellow teachers. It was nice not being the only young woman there, as well as having some male teachers who were also under thirty, or close to it.
"Are you sure you don't want anything? My treat." she offered, tucking back hair from her face. In structure, her facial features were unique; full lips, strong jaw and high cheekbones, all surrounded by a wavy, chestnut mane.
The cafe itself was beginning to get crowded, just as the bell of last period for class rang about fifteen minutes ago. The cafe was a popular spot for teens and teachers alike.
