Beneath the Veil OOC Board, Questions, Commentary, and General Chat!

I posted the idea for the role-play several months ago and I've decided to give it a go since it's been rumbling around in my brain!

This board will be for any questions you may have (about the plot, about joining, your character, etc.) and general chat and commentary about the RP.

Right now I'm setting this up as being a group, but it could very easily be turned into a one on one if there's not enough interest or someone would prefer to do it that way with me. I haven't done a group role-play in almost literally forever, so forgive me for any mistakes I might make! If I'm doing something wrong, please tell me haha.

You don't really need to ask to join, but I would like you to clear your character with me here just so I can make sure we don't end up with, like, all pure born Fey or something.

If you're unsure what sort of character to play, I'm glad to help you. Pretty much any sort of supernatural creature you can think of would justifiably fit in this RP. As I said in the plotting board, the idea is that pure Fey (high-born) are mostly human looking and impure Fey (low-born) are a mixture of the pure and basically monsters resulting in things like vampires, werewolves, goblins, etc.

Of course, you do not have to be any sort of Fey. You can be human as well, whether you are a sympathizer or on the police force or whatever you like.

Yep, yep. I'm totally in.
I have been sitting on this character idea for many months, so I was thrilled to see a quality "Modern dark fantasy" to finally place him in.

I would like to join and immediately after reading it, I imagined up a character. Now I just have to flesh him out and I might do a little sketch of him as well!

That sounds lovely! What sort of character are you thinking of?

I was thinking of making a really dark and shady character. Pretty much he was born after the war in the human world as an experiment done by human beings. pretty much, he is the lowest of the low when it comes to possessing Fae blood. He was born with his face and his entire body looking nothing like Fae nor Human so he wears a hoodie or any kind of heavy clothing and wraps his faces and hands with gauze wrapping. He was never given a name so he goes by Cadaver which is what the humans who assisted with experimentation called him.

Currently I am still working out the details of my character yet I do have a good general idea.

My only concern is having him different enough from Sshado and Jinxeh's characters.

Well, I had a good long thought about it. Sshado's and Jinxeh's characters are twisted due to their circumstance. My character is monstrous pretty much has no kinds of powers what so ever excepted for super-human abilities (runs fast, jumps higher, etc.) since he barely has any Fae blood when he comes in contact with iron the only thing that happens is that he is weakened to the level of a human being. He shows no pride, and truly is an animal in where he does not really show sympathy and lacks interest in people other than him. He sometimes survives by settling and eating dead rats and rather than murder for fun, he simply lives a purposeless life except for one thing, revenge. Still though he keeps to him self and I was thinking of making him mute and he communicates through this Fae ability where he unwraps his hand and just inputs messages in your head and that is pretty much the only thing slightly past the human level.

It's still kind of hard to get it different from Sshado and Jinxeh's characters, I think we turned the RP into something really darkly themed xD.

I thought it'd be best for me to post and get my character approved.

I was thinking I'd play a pixie named Elora. She's the size of a doll, and steals Barbie clothes from children. She goes nude in the sanctuary, but complies to the human need for clothing when she is near them. The only humans she goes near is children who believe she's some sort of Tinkerbell. From them she takes clothes and ribbons, which she treasures dearly. She hoards them in her bird house she lives in at the sanctuary.
Elora's skin is a pale yellow, and her wings are veiny and translucent with a yellow tint in the light. Her hair is white blonde in a shaggy pixie cut style. There is no color in her eyes except for solid black like that of a bug, and her teeth are needle points. The nails are claws with the sharpness of a scalpel.
She used to be a trickster, but her desire for havoc has dampened. The loneliness of being the only one of her kind in the city has taken a toll on her.
