Neil looked her over. She was smiling and at first glance she appeared to be completely normal. However, he could tell she was losing weight from her already slim frame, and the makeup just barely hid the signs under her eyes that told of sleepless nights. He knew the news he was about to give her wasn’t going to help. “Have a seat,” he said, pulling a chair out for her. “I just got a call from Michael Baldwin.”
Victoria sat down slowly, her eyes trained on Neil. “Is it about the case against my father?”
Neil took a seat and rubbed his hand along his chin. “No, it’s not about Victor. It’s about Tricia.”
