Character Personality:

Why people like her?: People like Carmendee because of her bubbly personality and wonderful outgoing nature. If you see her in the hall then she'll never even hesitate to say hello. She is helpful towards students and does her best to help them in anyway she can. She also is very respectful to all her students, treating them as equals rather then looking down on them. She bases her teaching ways off of her time at school. When she was at school she hated classes because of their boredom factor. She now puts her heart in to lesson plans and tries to make students excited for her class but alternative teaching methods and hands-on training. Hopefully that's working...

Why people might not like her?: People might not like Carmendee when she gets mad, but rarely do people see her angry. She usually puts on a semi-happy face when her students are around, but will vent to fellow friends and colleagues. Sometimes students just plain tire her out. Still, she tries not to let students see her like that.

Why she's different from her colleagues?: Carmendee is different from her colleagues in that she tries to relate so much to the students. She has a fun loving personality that knows no boundaries and Carmendee doesn't supress it. But, Carmendee tries hard to make sure she is friends with her co-workers, and so far her hard work has paid off.

Adding to Lana: Beneath Carmendee's upbeat, strong exterior, lies a bookworm. Lana often steals away to the library during periods when she doesn't have classes and sits down to read, simply liking the silence and the books. If you name a book, she's probably read it: Steinbeck, Friod, Tolkieen, Brown, and many more.... you name it, and theres a ninety-eight percent chance that she's read it.

Carmendee has many layers, and yet her positive attitude is her most prominent attribute. She never leaves without it, and you're almost certain to catch her on a good day.

Character History:

The Childhood: Carmendee was born in France to her mother and father in Paris. She was brought to the USA at a very young age and has lived in New York City ever since. Carmendee grew up attending a finishing school for girls, where she learned manners and rules galore. She also learned how to be rebellious - outside of classes of course. She was always playing pranks and messing around, hating the strict teachers and constant nagging which came around the school.

Carmendee was expelled from the school at age eight. It was a big blow to her father, who expected her to hold the family's high impression. Her parents enrolled her in another finishing school with less rules. Carmendee still wasn't content. The whole 'being a lady' thing was fun, yes, but Carmendee couldn't see where they were going with this. These girls didn't have the promise to become future leaders. In fact, the schools all seemed to discourage it.

And so, at age ten, Carmendee was enrolled in public school upon request. Things were better then. Carmendee wasn't as rowdy and she made friends and good ones at that. She liked that girl weren't as ditzy at these schools. The friends she made at this school continue to be her friends back at home today. She writes them frequently.

Attending BA: When Carmendee attended Wintrane she was very popular. She quickly adapted to the private school life and grew to love it more then anything. Her parents were less then pleased. Carmendee's father wanted her to stay away from the drinking, sex, and drugs. He wanted his little girl back,and she had gone a long time ago.

Carmendee liked it. She liked the danger factor of being in a world where nobody knew what was going to happen next. She liked being different from her family and she liked being spontanious. BA had turned out to be fabulous for her.

At age fifteen, Carmendee and her dad stopped speaking. He continued to pay for classes, but they no longer talked. Carmendee grew apart from her mom, but they still could hold conversations.

After School: Carmendee went to the New York Institute of Fine Arts and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and Art ed. She now works as an art teacher at BA. Also, she has a studio in town that shows her work, where she earns extra money. She lives above her studio.
