It seems that someone dropped a male purple dragon egg here. I wonder if anyone will come and pick it up...?

Why am I even doing this? Lyrran grumbled in his head as he trotted through Du Weldenvarden. Why did I come back? I am supposed to be riding to Surda.

In the heart of the Empire, as he was in Dras-Leona, he had recieved a message from his parents, telling him to return home to Silthrim. Why they wanted him back, he did not know. They hadn't given him a reason. So, against his wishes, he had changed his course back home.

He and his horse were exhausted. They had been riding hard across the plains, relaxing only when they had reached the inside border of Du Weldenvarden. They both had had little food or rest in the past few days, and the water he drew from the ground only barely whet his thirst.

A sound came to his ears. Trickling water. A spring! The pair trotted on, the spring coming into view. It was crystal clear, and plant life was abundant. He dismounted and let his horse graze, walking to the edge of the spring to drink. He splashed the water on his face, then cupped some and drank it. It tasted wonderful.

As he lifted his head, something caught his eye. He stood up and walked over to it. It appeared to be a purple rock. He picked it up. It was a bit to light to be a rock of its size. Was it a dragon egg? Maybe. He put it in his knapsack and mounted his horse, continuing his ride to Silthrim.

-Lyrran has left the area-

You can't argue with all of the fools in the world. It's easier to let them have their way, then trick them when they're not paying attention. You can't argue with all of the fools in the world.
