Final Fantasy Advent Children movie review -- Few Spoilers--
Overview - Final Fantasy Advent Children is the movie successor to the Final Fantasy 7 game, and continues the story after Meteor hit the world. Yet even with the aided force of Holy, the world and its inhabitants still survive, although life has changed much. Story - Although the story of Final Fantasy 7 didn't leave much room for changes in the eyes of gamers, there was apparently much still left to be told by its makers. JENOVA is finally explained in the story, and three excellent designed enemies make their appearance for the first time. Cloud, and the rest of the party appear, along with a few other important characters. Although, viewers may feel that only a few had enough time on screen. All in all, the story will be loved by fans, and is not overcomplicated by details. Visuals - There is no doubt that Advent Children is the best-looking visual production I have ever seen. Everything, from the characters to the environments, is just amazing. Not much to say except that fans and newcomers alike will find themselves immersed in the film. Music - The music in AV will definitely please fans of the Final Fantasy series, as the soundtrack is so much better this time around. It will definitely warrant a purchase by those who enjoy Nobou's music, while newcomers will find it nice and fitting to the scenes. Nostalgia - I must admit, I did not think that a movie would be able to capture the feel that players obtain from the games. After all, they are two completely different experiences. Yet, Advent comes closer than anything before, and fans will fall in love and quickly feel comfortable with it.
Closing = Anyone that has ever cared about anything Final Fantasy, will not want to miss out on this movie. Despite a few disappointments, it was definitely an experience not to be missed. Regular movie watchers that want entertaining battle scenes along with a great setting should definitely consider this too.
