WELCOME

There are no heroes. There are no villains. You will have to choose...to build the shackles of the government, or to prevent the chains of tyranny from ever forming. There was a time when the lines were clearly drawn, but now the chains of reality have been broken.

WHEN THE LIGHT'S TURNING DOWN, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY HEARD, STRIKE THE MATCH, PLAY IT LOUD, GIVING LOVE TO THE WORLD. WE'LL BE RAISING OUR HANDS, SHINING UP TO THE SKY 'CAUSE WE GOT THE FIRE, FIRE, FIRE.
The sweat beads dripped from her forehead down to her cheek. Wanda paused, trying to catch her breath before wiping it off with the palm of her hand. She had just come from the building's gym. She was dressed in nothing but a loose red tank top that exposed her stomach. Its fabric was thin and her black sports bra took a peak as her top swayed. She swiftly entered a training facility and looked around at the empty room. There no windows- just walls of strong steel. Beneath the walls were top of the line technology that only a few had their hands on. It almost had a mind of its own as it was built for sessions that were far more intense than the usual. Sessions that honed the use of gifts, weapons and new technology. Sessions that could put innocent bystanders in the line of danger if not carefully monitored. Safe to say, it was an honour to finally be training within these walls. There is already a sense of trust as Wanda was officially an Avenger.

It was again another training session with Steven Rogers. The man known to the world as Captain America. He was a poignant figure for Wanda given that he was used to a time very different from theirs. Perhaps, mutants were not as rampant or were the wars between worlds. It was a time where wars were between men. Yet one of them stood out with principles as strong as his shield. Wanda turned around towards the door and anticipated his arrival. She always got nervous when he was around. There was something about him. He was too kind but at the same time too precise .Wanda did not know if the man was naive- because he could direct them with the most lethal of strategies that was able to consider every angle possible. Yet when she spoke to him outside the line of businesses- Wanda didn't know whether to be amused or to be annoyed. Nonetheless, training was her priority and she should not be bothered by the reactions of the Captain.

The door slammed and immediately Wanda's heart pulsed in a fast rhythm. She was also nervous when he was around- the thing is, Wanda was a great actress and appeared to have shown no intimidation in the past. However, there needed to be a sense of improvement so she could continue on being a little more confident than the others. Wanda was still training her hex bolts. She, at certain times, has real trouble controlling them- more so, the outcomes. It was a risk the team always had to take once Wanda got into an offensive mode. It was dangerous for the team as she could indadvertedly harm the team without the right concentration. With Magneto, it was different- the end justified all the means, but here, it was different. She had the captain- the personification of justice with her. The means mattered. She heard him enter and turned to the direction of the door. "Captain, my captain." she echoed playfully as she tried to grab his attention. "Whatever shall we do today?" Wanda uttered in an evidently fake British accent.

"We're working on those Hex Bolts today, Ms. Maximoff"

While Wanda seemed to want to dabble in the pleasure of seeing each other once again, Steve was stoic. Very rarely did he break that character, especially in these types of situations. Truth be told, many wondered if he was always this type of serious person. As he dropped his bag on the floor he emerged in front of Wanda. While his eyes couldn't take themselves away from her for a few minutes, he he quickly got them back under control and moved his body towards a control panel and began to load in a program that would help her control and aim whatever it is she was throwing.

"Now they tell me... some kind of absorber is gonna drop from the ceiling. When they drop, you have a certain amount of time to hit them. If you're good enough, we might even have a little fun...

Steve had taken a liking to training people, especially when it came to seeing what the latest tech Stark or other scientists had developed. After a few seconds of head scratching, he loaded the program into the machine and it began to power up.

" I'm more of a punching bag guy myself, but they tell me this is just as good. Stark certainly loves his computers."

He could hear Wanda behind him laughing a bit as he turned around and motioned for her to get ready. The area in front of them looked nothing more than a blank room, almost like a canvas. Their voices echoed and Steve removed his hoodie as the temperature was already increasing. Now standing in a simple red dri-fit t shirt and pair of black work out shorts. Steve crossed his arms in anticipation.

"They tell me your bolts are a bit unpredictable. We can't have innocent civilians getting hurt. So let's see what you can do and we'll go from there.

As he stood behind Wanda his eyes stole a glance at her, how could they not. Quickly he reminded himself that he was alone in the room with her for business, not pleasure.

And there he was indeed. The decent 'everything-you-need' in a man, man. He was prompt, on time and was very much ready to get down to business. Indeed, she was no longer in the company of selfish pigs. She was going to enjoy the embrace of selfless heroes. "Thank you very much for agreeing to train with me. Can I call you Steve? Or do I always have to refer to you as Captain?" Wanda laughed lightly as she looked at him.

As Steve continued talking, The Scarlet Witch could to help but admire him. It was also a reinforcement of the fact that yes, she was now one of the heroes, an Avenger. Wanda's feelings were now more a mix of being nervous and feeling excited. She no longer had to deal with the Brotherhood of Mutants. It made her dislike every single thing that she did. She did not want to be at the forefront of war and chaos. But, she was. She never fully understood the mechanisms her father had planned. However, a part of her understood his plight.

"Yes, I do sometimes, miss on my intentions when I perform my hexes. Which is why I need practice, Cap. One hex gone wrong and I can be a potential danger to the team and to civilians." Magneto didn't care about that fact, the more dangerous she was, the more he enjoyed it. Especially when hexes would backfire on bystanders. "I have been told that I possess quite the power. But what is power if you can't control it?'

An 'absorber' came down as what he had promised. Wanda had no idea what to do with something like it. Her eyebrows met in both a feeling of confusion and curiosity. She saw the Captain from her peripheral, and opted to be a little playful. "What I can do?" She asked as if he had challenged her. The Scarlet Witch swirled her index finger in the air-and just as she did, the said absorber melted like lava from a volcano. A proud smirk curved her lips as she eye her trainer again. "Seems like my intentions manifested as I wanted. Why, you must be my lucky charm." She was warned about how much of an officer and a gentleman Steve is; but she could not help but echo somewhat flirtatious remarks.

"Yeah...lucky charm...

Steve spoke with a hint of humor as he approached whatever was left of what she had melted. As his mind tried to wrap around how such a great power could come from such a person, he thought about the things he had seen throughout his life and where this ranked. Needless to say, it was pretty incredible.

"You can call me Steve, by the way. Unless you find it more appealing to call me Cap..."

As Steve turned around and walked back towards Wanda he laughed a bit and began to explain himself.

"Sometimes girls have a thing for calling me Captain... I don't know, I guess ladies love a man in uniform."

While Rogers wasn't currently in uniform, he had to admit that the one he wore on the battle field often caught the attention of the females around him. While he was purely business in the suit though, there were times when ladies had taken to calling him Captain when Steve was all that was needed. Not much use focusing on a name though, what he was there to focus on was this powerful and quite stunning being before him.

" Well, looks like they're gonna have to find something more powerful to help me train that Hex of yours. Until then, let's try some hand to hand combat. I'm more of a hands on kind of guy anyway..."

Whatever charm or flirtation has been tossed his way by Wanda hadn't been picked up, but that was Steve. His fault in life was that he was sometimes fully involved with his work and training. It's not that he wasn't attracted to Wanda, indeed he was. She was something unlike he had ever seen. Beauty, poise, and elegance all wrapped into the little lady standing before him now as he approached her with a ready smile.

"So the way this works, I'll grab you... you show me how you'd break the hold... and we'll see what you know..."

Hand-to-hand combat and drills like this is where Rogers excelled, especially on the battlefield. Being a kid from the Bronx, he had spent most of his life fending for himself in scraps and brawls, and his heights skills had given him even more of an ability at this. If there was any flirtation to come from this drill, perhaps Steve would be more aware of it due the physical closeness between the two. Though sometimes, when it came to women, Steve needed to sign of affection to clearly reach out and grab him.

"Ready?"
