Well... he'd never learn if he didn't reach out and ask some questions. The problem was asking questions without coming off as a loon. Still, he was going stir-crazy not knowing, and with Miach remembering the same different history of the world as he, he decided to make an effort. The worst that could happen was one scientist claiming that the Irish Ambassador was a crazy loon.

It'd happened before, or something similar. Heh.

He had contacted a Doctor Jane Foster. She had some work on other realms or...dimensions or something; it was the closest hit he could find, that was within a reasonable distance from his home in London. Granted he still had to take a plane to get there, but it was a short flight, and he'd wanted to visit London, anyway.

They had agreed to meet in a casual place--a cafe, at 2:00pm on a Thursday. Lunch break for Ms. Foster he assumed, which was fine with him. He had flown in the previous night, and made his leisurely way now, to the cafe. It was one he'd been to before, the last time he'd visited London, so it was easy to find.

When he got there he had only to take a seat and wait for his companion to arrive, a newspaper in front of him while he sat.

Jane had a little meeting to do somewhere in London with a Mister Searlas O'Reilly. An Irish man it would seem with a name like that. It was a Thursday afternoon in which she had to meet with him. Contacting him once more; she informed him she was on lunch break and would meet him soon. Jane got into her car, and headed towards the café in which to meet this man.

Getting out of her car, she managed to get into the cafe and grab a little something. Knowing it would be long. Jane looked around and tried to find the man. Seeing a man at the table she walked over and noticed he was reading a newspaper. Curiosity soon filled Jane's head as she stared at the newspapers the male was reading.

"Excuse me. Forgive me for interrupting your reading but are you Searlas O'Reilly?" she asked trying to get a confirmation before sitting down. "I'm Jane Foster, I'm here for a meeting with this man" she said softly as she waited patiently for his answer.

Séarlas had no idea if this scientist could help at all; he wasn't a scientist himself, and had no idea who to even speak to about his problem, as it were.. But this was hopefully a good start.

The paper he was reading had an article about the United States; the bill that was floating around, regarding superhuman registration. Not passed yet, but hotly debated in the House of Representatives, and the Senate. It worried him, if only because he knew what had happened the last time.. or what had happened in his memory.. Heh.

He looked up in a hurry when he heard someone speaking to him, and offered Jane a simply charming smile, and gestured for her to take a seat. "Yes, quite!" he said. "Jane Foster, it's a pleasure to meet you; you've found the right Irishman, as it were." He stuck a hand out to shake hers, smiling wide, though there was a tiredness to his eyes that belied his good mood..

"I'm sorry for pulling you away from your work.. but I had some rather odd questions.." He smiled. "If you don't mind indulging me."

As he began to speak and confirm that he was the right person, that she was with she was rather relieved. Jane closed her eyes and she smiled as he once offered her to sit down. Sitting down she lowered her bag, and she looked at him. "Well its nice to meet you as well Mister O'Reilly" she said softly to him giving him a small smile.

Sitting down, she said nothing as she watched him. "Its fine don't worry about it. I needed a break as it is." she said softly staring upon the male in front of her. "Alright, come at me with the questions I'm ready for them" she said with a soft chuckle as she sat back and watched him. Waiting for the answers to be given to her.

Jane looked at him and smiled. "I don't mind" she told him in a soft voice. Folding her arms she watched him as she waited to hear about what he needed. On the phone he sounded very urgent and she said nothing for several moments as she waited for him to start questioning her.

She seemed very polite, if a little quiet.. Séarlas smiled encouragingly at her, as she sat, and folded up his newspaper to get it out of the way, while she spoke. He'd collected it if only to read up on what was happening overseas, here in Ireland.. Everything that seemed different....to him.

"I'm not sure it counts as a break if I'm asking you about.. scientific hypothesis and the like," he said with a grin, though it faded quickly. He was a little stressed, but he was also a skilled enough politician; good at making it look like he was perfectly calm. Most of the time.

He took in a deep breath, that would-be perfect calm shaken a bit by what he was going to have to try and explain, now.. That breath came out in a sigh, and he wrapped his fingers around his coffee cup idly. "This might sound a little... crazy," he warned her. "But I beg of you to allow me to explain fully, before you make your judgment," he told her.

"I seem to have... a collection of memories of the last couple of years--about the last two years or so.. that are wholly inaccurate. I thought perhaps it was just me.. but my brother has the same memories that I do.. It's like we lived our lives in some other.. timeline or something, I don't know."

Crossing her legs underneath the table in front of her, she stared at Searlas, and she said nothing as she stared at him as he started to speak to her. Staring at him she nodded her head and she tilted it to the side as he spoke to her. "Try me" she said smiling staring at him as she watched him a little. He was rather interesting, and she would do anything to help someone. "If its Scientific, then I could help you." she said smiling. "I could try to anyway.." she said with a light laugh and she looked at him in a friendly way.

Jane watched him as he began to explain his situation. "I've dealt with lots of Crazy things in my time believe me. Researching everything from New Mexico to living here. So I'm used to crazy" she said with a chuckle in her voice. She looked at him and nodded her head. "I would love to hear your explanation" she said in a soft voice as she stared at him a little more.

Silence was with jane as she heard heard him as he began to explain what he was going to do with her and all that. Blinking she narrowed her eyes lightly with curiosity and she looked at him a little more. "I see.." she said as she stared at him. "And what exactly are these memories if you don't mind on me asking? " she said softly as she looked at him a little more.

Séarlas smiled faintly, reassured by her words, though only just. He had no concrete evidence for her. Nothing but word of mouth, which made him sound...less believable, he feared. He did have the combined memories of himself and his brother, who remembered the same things he did. Perhaps that would help, but again, it was all hearsay.. No concrete anything to give her.

He almost felt a little silly; if it hadn't been for Miach, he would have believed himself insane. "Thank you," he said at her words. When she asked about the memories, rather than giving him crazy eye, he offered the quiet woman another bit of a smile, and heaved a sigh.

"An awful jumble of them, I'm afraid. You see, I'm the ambassador to the United States, and I have distinct memories and experiences in mind of having gone there to see about a.." He frowned. "A superhuman registration act that had been passed, two years ago. I recall reading newspaper articles about.." He scratched at his forehead, shaking his head, "An attack by those against registration at the Stark Expo.. And I remember watching a panel held with both sides--those for the registration and those against--discussing things. I remember going to political meetings regarding this event, speaking to politicians, mutants, and others, about all of this.. And yet it appears none of it ever happened. I thought myself crazy until I called my brother--he lives in the States--and he remembers the very same things."
