// Previous thread in timeline: Nymphomaniac Fantasia
// Next thread in timeline: Stalking the Stalker Saturday was, in Aidan's opinion, the best day of the week. Its predecessor was Friday, the one work day on which the afternoon was free, because one didn't have to do anything on the following day. Its successor was Sunday, a day which served as a perfect buffer between a day of no work and a day of lots of work. Saturday, hugged tightly by more times of leisure, was the perfect day. On top of that, it was a warm day. While the temperature didn't matter much to Aidan, he knew it mattered to others. Going swimming on a cold day would raise questions, and he disliked being questioned. It had been a simple task to get out of bed, pull on a pair of shorts, and sneak out of the school before anyone ran into him. Even though there were next to no people at St. V's who would know him well enough to remember where he was going if they saw, and even fewer in number were those who would want to know such a thing, unless for the sake of not going where he was, Aidan found the idea of not being noticed comforting. Today was one of the days when he did not want to be in a crowd, where he preferred to be left alone to his thoughts and devices, such as they were. He had sneaked out of the school at the break of dawn, and had made his way to the lake. Once there, he discarded the one piece of clothing he had taken with him, the flimsy and loose fitting track & field shorts. In a suit he considered more of a monthly one than a birthday one, Aidan waded into the water and began swimming. While meandering through the lake's cool water, he had caught a leyline, a beam of energy coursing through the earth's crust beneath him and streaming upwards to unknown heights. Due to the unique combination of mind and nature magic that coursed through his veins, Aidan felt leylines acutely, and his body automatically drew power from then whenever it found itself along one. What was supposed to be a short splash in the bond escalated into hours and hours of following the leyline up and down the lake, backtracking whenever he reached one of the shores. He didn't get bored, and he didn't get tired, at least not any time soon. By the time that his body, even after being powered by the energies of the Earth, finally told him that enough was enough, that he was exhausted not because of the energy exertion but because of the immense amount of energy his body was processing due to Gaea's gift, he swam back towards the shore where he dove in. He emerged from the water slowly, step by step, his whole body even more taut than it usually was because of the exertions he'd just gone through, muscles glistening in the sun due to the water that remained on his skin. He ran a hand through his hair to dislodge it from his eyes (it was getting long again, since there had been no trace of his mother to tie him down in order to give him a haircut, something she did merely because he otherwise would not be stylized in any way), and only then noticed that he was standing in front of another student, someone who'd apparently come to the same idea of enjoying the lake, much later in the day. "Seriously?" Aidan said, but he was more amused than irked. Nudity was not something he had an issue with, and he was more amused by the fact that there was at least one other who had similar thoughts as he did. How long had he been in the water? |

The day that his ex would be released from prison was fast approaching, and Blaine still had no really close friends to help him during this hard time. All he had to help him get through it all was theater, which was nice enough, sure, and was filled with people. But none of them really seemed that interested in Blaine, though he supposed that was most likely his own fault. It wasn't like he was the most social of people, and sitting by yourself and only getting up to give your lines wasn't the best way to befriend theater people. He usually wound up getting looks from the others, as if they wondered what exactly he was, like he may be some kind of alien. But he just couldn't seem to get himself to get up and actually try to hang out with any of them. So he ended up being a typical loner.
Knowing that this Saturday was going to end up the same as any other Saturday, Blaine started up his laptop and looked through the news. Nothing that interesting really popped up, except the whole European Union thing, where Great Britain wasn't agreeing to some new financial agreement. Sighing, he looked out his dorm window, wondering what he should to pass the time today, wishing it was warmer out. It was much better than up north he supposed, and he should be grateful for that. Hell, that was enough reason to go out and enjoy the sun and semi warmth, with the New England area getting dumped on by snow. At the same time, he wished that they got that here, so that he could make a snowman, or something as thrilling as that. Grumbling about crappy in-between temperatures, Blaine grabbed a book that he had started reading a few days before and put on a hoodie. As he headed towards the stairs, he wondered where exactly he was going to go and found that he didn't know. The forest came to mind first, and he thought that that would be the perfect place to go, and bounded down the rest of the stairs. Keeping his head low so as not to make eye contact with anyone, Blaine got outside as quick as he possibly could. But then he began to scold himself for doing exactly what would keep him from really making any friends. What could he possibly expect from people when he wouldn't even give them a nod passing by them in the hallway? They weren't going to do everything for him. He sure as hell wasn't in elementary school anymore. Caught up in his mind that was scolding him, Blaine didn't realize that he had been heading in a different direction than the forest. Once he came to the lake, however, he stopped and blinked slowly, wondering why he had carried himself out here. It was quiet though, and he figured that nobody was around. But then again, when it was this cold out (but not cold enough... just too cold to be useful) it wasn't hard to imagine that everybody was staying away from this area. Shrugging his shoulders, Blaine walked a bit closer to the lake towards some trees that he figured he could sit under. When he got closer, however, he found that the ground was a bit softer than he cared for, no doubt because of the proximity to the body of water. Glaring at the ground, he went for a tree that was a bit further away, but still plenty close enough to look at the lake. Once he had finally found the perfect spot, Blaine plopped himself down and opened his book, finding where he had left off last time. Hearing something, he peered up to see that he actually wasn't alone, and he sighed to himself. But then he swallowed the sigh, knowing that he couldn't keep on trying to isolate himself from everybody forever. It sure as hell wasn't helping in the friends department. Surprising as that was. He wanted to hit himself for that bit of sarcasm. Why was he talking to himself like that anyways? Or thinking, rather. Shaking his head, he looked back at the other boy, who was now out of the water, and he simply froze. Never would he have thought that he would be seeing what he in fact was seeing right now. The boy was completely naked, and walking from the lake closer to him, though he didn't seem aware that Blaine was actually there. Until he finally stopped and noticed that he was in fact standing in front of somebody... that somebody being Blaine, who was simply staring at all the young man had to offer. "S-s-serious wh-what?" Blaine stammered, his eyes averting back to his book, doing his best to pretend that he hadn't seen what he had, in fact, seen. "Did I do something?" His voice was small, as if he was afraid of something happening if he spoke louder. |

The boy's reaction was just adorable. It was not a word Aidan often used, and much more rarely thought, at least not in its true context. It was perfect for sarcasm. But seeing the other boy squirm just because he was seeing some naked bits made Aidan want to laugh, and not in a degrading way. Something in the way the face of the other moved when he was trying to avoid seeing something regaled the French youth enough not to just go off without any interest of talking. Besides, he was in a good mood due to the healthy exhaustion he'd just prepared for himself, and there was a small nagging voice in the back of his mind stating that he needed to find some more people he could talk to without having them a) run away or b) try to kill him (not that he minded putting them in their place).
He stammers, too. Comment mignon, he thought as he smiled at the boy and waved his head, turning around to try and locate his shorts. Apparently, he hadn't gotten out of the lake at the same spot where he'd gotten in, though these things could happen when one stayed in the water too long and swam back and forth like crazy. Finally locating them, he walked over to pick them up, then returned to where he'd found the stammering boy, and placed them on the ground there. He used them more as a surface to sit on, to avoid getting dirty on the ground, than to pretend to claim some modesty. "You're just sitting here, from what I can see. No harm in that, is there? You didn't do anything, I just got a bit surprised that someone else decided to come to the lake. It's not the hottest of times of the year, and people usually avoid this place unless it's summer, or they want to be alone," he replied with a shrug, eyes glancing over the book. "Reading something interesting? Well, as interesting as a book can possibly get..." he added as the muscles in his legs told him that they were giving up. If he wanted to, he could not stand now. And, while he already had to wait for his body to recover a bit from the strenuous exercise, might as well get to talking with something that was cute enough for him to wish to have fun with it on a regular basis. For the time being, he kept the various kinds of thoughts that swam about in his mind at bay, instead deciding to try to focus on meeting the kid on a personal level first. After all, charming was the way to go with people in this school, or so it seemed. A shame, London was better, they all liked the wild act much more... and it is more fun... |

Hearing the other boy turn around, Blaine was certain that he was safe and that he was simply going to be left there to himself. The beating of his heart began to slow down as a calmness finally took hold again, glad to have not caused wrath. Deciding that there was no harm in taking another look, Blaine raised his eyes to find that the boy hadn't even left. A tinge of pink flushed his face once again as he saw the butt wiggle to and fro as the boy walked towards something. Whatever it was, he bent down to pick it up, and Blaine felt his throat constrict as he got another good view of what there was to the well grown boy. Immediately casting his eyes down to the book again, Blaine mentally scolded himself for thinking of less than pure things. Should the boy have turned around, Blaine could have found himself in another awkward moment. And if he wanted to make friends, then he'd have to learn how to at least contain himself and act civilly.
Glaring at the words on the page, Blaine wondered why it was that he was so embarrassed with himself. Other boys at the school had no qualms looking at each other and hitting on one another left and right. It was strange, really, how many of them seemed to be so fond of the same sex. He supposed that it was probably due to the fact that they were at an all boys school. And all boys did have one thing in common: they were very sexual creatures with a need to find release one way or the other. And they all preferred that it be with another than alone in their rooms, spread on their beds with only their hands as tools to satisfaction. Well, some may have had other things as well, but Blaine didn't have any toys sitting around for him to use. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Blaine heard the boy approach again, followed by a small sound of something hitting the ground.. For a moment, he wondered if maybe he was being offered companionship, and he slowly raised his eyes. The other boy had lowered himself down onto his underwear which he had cast off at some point before getting into the lake. If he had seen that earlier, then Blaine wouldn't have even been sitting there. He cursed himself for not taking a better look at his surroundings. But as the other boy spoke again, he realized that maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that he had decided to come to the lake after all. Perhaps this was meant to happen. A push from a higher being to help get him that friendship that he knew he needed. As the boy spoke, Blaine sat up a bit straighter, not wanting to seem rude or withdrawn from the conversation by being bent over his book. He shrugged, knowing that what the other had said was true. "Well, it's not so much that I want to be alone. It's more that I don't know how to be with people." Blaine blinked, realizing that he had actually just said what he did, and also knowing it to be the truth. For once, he had finally been able to say out loud the very reason he had troubles with socializing with people. Thankfully, his new found companion simply decided to switch things over to what he was reading instead of prying him as to why he didn't know how to be with people. He wasn't ready to dive into his life story with a complete stranger. Turning the book over to the front cover, Blaine showed it to him. "It's called A Separate Peace. The narrator goes back fifteen years and tells you about his roommate at boarding school and their relationship with one another." Blaine tilted his head, knowing that the other kid probably didn't really care what he was reading. He didn't want to make any assumptions however, even if the naked boy insinuated he didn't care to read. "I like it." A simple statement. That was really all Blaine could manage to say about his feelings without getting into details on the elements of the book. What he didn't need to do was bore him to tears... "But I don't enjoy referring to you in my head as he and him. And I don't know you... though I probably should." Rolling his eyes up in a thoughtful manner, Blaine wondered how that had probably sounded. No doubt that he was suggesting that he looked like he was someone worth knowing. Just another example of how bad he was with this socializing thing. "My name is Blaine," he said, his eyes lowering to the acquaintance's gaze. "Blaine Lockwood." Smiling, he put a hand out in an attempt for a friendly handshake. |

Aidan blinked a bit at the boy's response. Didn't know how to be around people? Well, that was definitely a new one. He'd half expected to be the only person in the entire damned school who had issues with communication. Then again, he probably was the only person in the school who was, in and of himself, the issue in communication.
"Yeah, I guess that can be said for me too. Not that I don't know how to do that whole social dancing shit, it's just that I do not know how to feel good while doing it. And to think, I am supposed to be a social being," he said, leaving the comment in the air. Humans were supposed to be social beings, but humans who went to this school were expected to be exceptionally social. His meaning was something else, however. Lone wolves were not a frequent occurrence in nature, they were usually in packs, ones who ran about with a family. Aidan had never managed to get along with any of the packs he'd met in France and the UK. The boy went on talking about the book, something Aidan allowed to wash over him. Reading. No thank you. It was not an activity Aidan found particularly useful. Most people read books in order to escape their own worlds, or find out new ones, where everything was possible. His own world, his very own reality, was already strange and mercurial enough, without the added strain of keeping up with a fictional replica. He was done much faster than most others Aidan had made the mistake of getting on the topic of books, and immediately dove into the introduction phase of the talk. This was definitely entertaining, if nothing else. Whether it was his own exhaustion causing him to be less of a bastard than he usually was, or if this guy was simply not as annoying as the rest, Aidan couldn't quite tell, but he knew that not only did he not mind the other's company, but rather even wanted to shake his hand. "If you did, you wouldn't still be sitting around me, I dare say," he said in response to Blaine's comment, and then offered a small smile, "I am Aidan." Even though his accent was practically flawless, he always said his name the way it would be pronounced in French, rather than in English. Everything else was almost 100% genuine American accent, with the local flavor. Some part of his screwed up genetics allowed him that fun little bit of talent, and Aidan used it whenever he got an opportunity. |

Smiling back at the now named social companion, Blaine tilted his head as he tried to place the accent that the other boy spoke with. Well, he only said his name in the accent, which made him wonder if he was trying to make fun of his name or what. "I dare say, if I did know you, you would probably be thinking that I was stalking you. Me sitting here all quiet and alone as you're swimming in the lake and trying to enjoy some private time." Blaine's smile widened a little bit, and a playful glint shined in his eyes as he looked over the incredibly attractive male. As time went on, he was finding himself more and more comfortable around Aidan, and he wondered if it really was this easy to interact with somebody. If it was, then he was definitely foolish for keeping his head low in the school to avoid contact with another person. "Although that thought probably wouldn't be incorrect."
It had been a long time since Blaine had even genuinely smiled at a new person, let alone tried to flirt with them. So he was definitely nervous about the idea of it, and a little sick in the stomach after trying a shot at it. The fact that he was insinuating that he could be a stalker was enough to make Blaine want to go back five seconds and rethink what he had said. Add in the tidbit about it being to a naked boy, and he was just about ready to hurl. "Not that I'm a stalker," he added quickly, his eyebrows raising slightly, involuntarily trying to push that point across. He did his best to calm himself, to keep from making an ass out of himself and, in consequence, "chasing" Aidan away. "Sorry, I think that my social skills are rusted to the point that a small bit of oil isn't going to help." He gave Aidan a sheepish look. Mind trying to think of a way to glaze over the whole uncomfortable awkwardness he was feeling at the moment, Blaine looked towards the lake. Then he came up with something that he should have thought about before. "So you came out here to take a dip in the lake, when it's this chilly out," he stated, finding that to be a bit odd. He himself had come out simply to read by the lake, as he found it to be a calming and serene atmosphere. But he couldn't imagine that anybody would want to actually go swimming in it at this time of year. "Are you an avid swimmer, or are you just one to do extreme things like swimming in the cold waters in the morning?" He cocked his head to the side again, eyes narrowing to hold Aidan's visage in a bit of interested questioning. Then his mind came up with another flirtation, and Blaine stupidly said it without thinking better of it. "Or are you too hot for the cold water to cool you?" Well... yeah, it was pretty cheesy, but it was better than the stalker comment. Not by much though. |

Aidan laughed at the bumbling way the other boy had about going through conversations. He could recognize the attempt at a flirt, but it was so clumsily made that, had he not been of a mind to do nasty things to the boy at some point in time, he could have easily mistaken it for something else entirely. "Well, in such a case you wouldn't need to worry. I would not be bothered if someone like you were stalking me."
This, of course, was a lie, he would probably have bitten any given stalker's head off by now, but that was a side of Aidan that Blaine did not need to get to know until he was hooked enough on all the other, better sides of him. He may not excel at school, but Aidan possessed a tremendous amount of a sort of low cunning, the ability to manipulate situations and people so as to get what he wanted. He was very aware of what he looked like, and even more aware of just how god damned charming he could be when he gave a little effort, and he would use that whenever he needed to. It was just that fists were usually the quicker way. "Social skills are something you need when you want to win people over. There is no need to use them when someone is already interested in you, don't you think?" he asked, pushing the entire situation a bit further. He knew that there was no way he was going to get to pull this boy into the sack so quickly or easily, but that didn't bother him. There were others he had for that. No, he was at the moment just enjoying watching Blaine's face. Something about it just warmed his heart, if such a thing were possible. "I do not really feel the cold, and I like swimming, so it seemed like a good enough idea. You might just be right, there is a chance I'm too hot for the lake to make me cold," Aidan retorted, shrugging as he leaned back, placing his elbows on the ground and remaining in the halfway lying position, one of the better ways of showing off his body. "Why did you come out to the lake?" |

When Aidan laughed, Blaine blushed slightly, embarrassed that the naked boy found something funny about Blaine, when from the outside, somebody else might think it should have been the other way around. But as his cheeks burned, he figured that it was better that Aidan laughed rather than said nothing at all. It suggested that he found Blaine's clumsy way of trying to come across as flirtatious anything but questionable. Finding that this was turning out a lot better than he had previously thought possible, back when Aidan first approached him, Blaine smiled himself. The heat in his face slowly dissipated, and he relaxed further, his back leaning into the tree behind him. He hadn't even realized that his back was a bit tense, and that he was actually sitting, almost as if he was ready to move. Maybe he was getting ready to move, get away from Aidan and therefore the whole situation. Luckily he didn't have to do that now.
In response to Blaine's comment about his own social skills, Aidan responded with words that suggested he thought Blaine was interested in him. He wasn't wrong, but Blaine didn't realize that he was coming across that blatant already, and it made him a little nervous. The fact that he was giving away his personal thoughts so easily made him uncomfortable, and made him question himself. Should he keep on going on the path that he had started, with the light flirting, and the prodding conversation? Or maybe he should take it a little easier, not give the other boy so many compliments... if they could be taken as such. The one about him being too hot for the lake was most definitely a compliment, but the other stalker one was just... something he'd rather forget. Blaine almost shook his head to try to get it out of mind, but caught himself, realizing that that would probably look odd. Aidan stretched out, propping himself up on his elbows, giving a better angle for Blaine to see him in all of his glory. Blaine heard him ask why he had decided to come down to the lake, and Blaine simply stared for a moment. He was having difficult processing mental thoughts as the view he currently had captured all of his attention. Then the words finally came to meaning and Blaine snapped out of it, knowing that he had failed in hiding his... interest. "Erm... well... I wanted to read. And I wanted to do it somewhere quiet, but not in my room. I'm always spending time in my room. So I decided to go outside. Thought I was going to go to the forest, but found myself here for some reason." He was practically mumbling, now looking anywhere but at Aidan, embarrassed that he had managed to get himself caught up in the other boy's body. Eyes seeming to search the area for something, anything to comment on, Blaine found that he was beginning to fall flat. There was nothing that he could think of talking about, and it was making him feel less than adequate at actually talking to Aidan. "Sorry I seem so distracted," Blaine finally said. "What are you going to do now that you're done with the swim?" Maybe Aidan actually had better things to do than lay there for some other guy to gawk at him. Blaine couldn't imagine that he'd care to stick around for him to come up with some pleasing images in his mind. |

"There's better light here, I think, than in the forest, with all the trees and everything. It is a better choice, probably" he said, and then grinned at Blaine, "besides, if you hadn't made that decision, we wouldn't get to meet, now would we?"
With a small sly grin, he watched Blaine get uncomfortable, and even took in the wonderful scent that boys let out when they were feeling uncomfortable. He saw the boy wanting to look at his body, and noticed how hard he was trying not to, but he simply couldn't force himself to give Blaine open permission to gawk. It somehow seemed it would spoil the moment. He shrugged at the other's question. "I don't know. I don't have any plans. Being lazy is a good thing to do on a Saturday, don't you think?" Aidan responded with a question of his own, spreading his legs out and stretching on the ground to prove his point about procrastination. After a few seconds, he went back into a sitting position and smiled at Blaine. "What are your plans? Anything exciting in store for you today?" he asked as he winked a bit. He lowered his head to watch the sky, and he breathed in deeply a couple of times before snapping back up, looking at Blaine with a concerned look on his face, "Oh, I'm sorry, does it upset you that I am naked? I can put my shorts on if it makes you uncomfortable..." Oh how blatant a liar he was, pretending to be oblivious like that, rather than being as intentionally naked as it was possible. While Blaine made adorable faces while looking at him in the nude, Aidan found it more entertaining to talk to the boy than to cause him to be confused, disoriented, and out of words. Monologues were only entertaining to a certain point, and Aidan had difficulty being on his own in his head on most days anyway. |

No, Blaine supposed that he wouldn't have met Aidan if he hadn't have come down to the lake instead of going to the forest. Which, as the other boy had pointed out, didn't have anywhere near as much light as the open area by the lake. So reading would have been a lot more difficult, true, but Blaine knew a couple of spots that gave him enough light to do that. He didn't make it a habit to go do something that would end up being impossible. But he knew that Aidan hadn't meant that he was stupid for thinking of the forest or anything. Or at least he hoped that that wasn't the case. Then again, he did know fully well that he wasn't very good at picking up on social cues. So who knew what Aidan was trying to get at, if he was even trying to get at anything at all.
Blaine felt a tightness in his stomach that spread down, and he realized that he was beginning to get aroused as Aidan spread out. That wasn't very surprising, but Blaine did find it a little embarrassing that he was getting worked up so easily. If things continued on like this, then Blaine would end up being putty in Aidan's hands, and that wasn't what the junior was going for. He was hoping to obtain friends, not some guys who could carry him off to bed without a fight. Although that might not be so bad given the right circumstances... but no! Giving into temptation like that so easily wasn't a good thing, Blaine was sure of it. The sudden movement of Aidan, trying to make sure that he wasn't offending Blaine was... a little peculiar to say the least. Having been acting for so long, Blaine was beginning to wonder how much of what Aidan was doing was actually sincere. As he suggested that he could put on his shorts, Blaine leered slightly, wondering if everything he had done was deliberate. But he couldn't see why Aidan was trying to get him worked up, unless he wanted him in bed of course, which just didn't seem probable. Aidan was very attractive, and with the perfect body... and a nice package if he did say so himself. So he could have just about any guy in the school, given that any guy would be willing to fuck with another guy, which Blaine saw as a high probability in this school. Why would he go for Blaine? "You don't have to put anything on," Blaine said, smiling in return. He would have to keep his cool now, make sure that it didn't become obvious that he wanted to touch Aidan. And he also couldn't make it known that he was beginning to suspect that Aidan's actions weren't all that innocent. "I'm not uncomfortable at all. But if you'd rather I didn't see everything there was to see about you, then feel free to cover up. I don't have any reason to dislike what I'm seeing though." A small smile spread on his face, knowing that he was throwing away the idea of keeping his attraction hidden. What a small price to pay, to be able to flirt with the hottie and see what his reaction was. |

"Alright then. I prefer using it as a place to sit on anyway," Aidan said, relaxing again and shifting about into a lying position so that he was on his side, looking at Blaine. If he adjusted a bit, he could easily be photographed for an erotic calendar. Mr. Fall of the year, though he could probably make the whole calendar by himself, being naked in various seasons.
"You've already seen almost everything there is to be seen about me. Of course," he said with a chuckle, shifting his legs a bit, "I'm not in my... top shape right now. A bit tired from all the swimming." If Blaine was going to start flirting, so was Aidan, though somehow he had the impression that sex wouldn't be as fun with this guy as just the flirting and spending time with him. Making an inward laugh at his own ridiculous thoughts, Aidan took it on himself to stretch again, figuring he might as well give Blaine another look at how his muscles moved when they tensed and relaxed. "Thank you for the compliment. I have to say, however, I have not had any complaints so far. I guess all the running and swimming helps. Do you, perhaps, do any sports? Or is literature the farthest extent of your physical exercise?" Aidan asked with a chuckle, offering Blaine a grin. He wasn't doing the whoops-i-didn't-know-i-was-naked act anymore, mostly because he noticed a change in Blaine's behavior. This was starting to feel less like relaxation and more like a social dance by the minute, except that one of the dancers was dancing the waltz while he was better suited for metal head banging, whereas the other seemed to have three left feet and a broom. If anything, they would make a fantastic circus act, if there were such a thing as a social circus. "You don't look like the type to just sit around and read. You're too cute and lean for that. So what is it? Secret swim sessions in the night? Lots of sex? Sit-ups every morning?" |

If Aidan really thought that he wasn't in top shape, then he had some kind of perfectionist's complex in everything, going so far as to include his physical appearance. He was by no means the first person, as Blaine had come across a few who were at least a little like that. One of them was his ex, who took great pride in his body, though that didn't serve as something positive for Blaine to appreciate. There had been many days where he had wished he didn't date somebody so fit. But he really should have been wishing that he didn't manage to attract somebody who was just so incredibly brutal. Maybe if he had taken the time to get to know who he was and what he was like... not that anybody would have told him he was the type to be able to hurt somebody the way he had hurt Blaine. The Junior didn't think anybody had known what he was like at the time. Everyone found out eventually though, didn't they?
So looking at the body that was being displayed for him, for that was how Blaine was looking at it now, a display, the boy was hesitant. While he hadn't met his ex the same exact way, he had met him in a setting where he became immediately attracted to his body. And knowing how that had turned out caused Blaine to pause for a moment, and then he waved it off. He couldn't hold what his ex did to every other guy that happened to enjoy working out and keeping their body in great shape. "Don't be so modest," Blaine replied, tilting his head slightly. "You're definitely in top shape if you can keep your body like that by swimming." The smile that was on his face dissipated, however, as Aidan replied with the comment about not receiving any complaints. For some reason, that came off as a little arrogant, and his stretching was starting to be come a little overdone. Recovery was something that Aidan was good at, or else he didn't realize that he had sounded cocky before and was just glossing over it with ignorance. Either way, it was enough to make Blaine forget about it entirely, and he smiled, shaking his head and looking down. It wasn't often that he received a compliment on his appearance, though then again, it wasn't often he found himself talking to somebody. "Um, I run mostly. Not early though, so you wouldn't see me out doing that until later. And I like to swim, but I'm not in a swimmer's condition, so there's no way you'd see me on the team." Besides that, he was also into acting too much to join a sports team, which was something he'd rather not say. Aidan didn't seem like the type of guy to appreciated theater... though then again, that may be a test to see how interested he really was. If he was interested, as Blaine secretly hoped, then he'd stick around. If not... well then he could go where he wanted. "I act too much to be on a team anyways. Theater is kinda my thing." The idea of having a lot of sex was comedic, as Blaine hadn't even been touched since before he was in the hospital. And when he tried to think about the last time he had sex, he couldn't recall it very well, no doubt because he wanted to block it. He found himself wanting to block anything that had to do with his ex. No surprise there. "But you're on the track team, aren't you? I've seen a few meets, pretty sure I've seen you there. No doubt dominating the track, though I'm afraid that I can't recall for sure." He was lying. As he had spoke, he found images of Aidan in his head, running... and indeed dominating the track with his sprints. But it was best to lie, to bring something else up for Aidan to talk about, to see if he really was as arrogant as he had seemed earlier. Blaine was hoping that wasn't the case. |

Aidan blinked in surprise for a moment, looking at the other without a single grain of comprehension. Once it got to his mind that his previous thoughts about how the two of them might have looked were they trying to perform the social dance in public were not so very wrong, he had to laugh a bit.
"I wasn't being modest, Blaine," he said with a genuine smile spreading across his face, "I was being perverted. The idea was to imply that you hadn't seen me when everything on my body is taut and... well, when I have no limp parts, let's say it like that." Aidan fought back, and was successful at it, the urge to demonstrate with his hand just what he meant. "Theater?" Aidan said as if trying to weigh the word on his tongue, "That explains a few things, at least. I should probably try out, give acting a shot. At least, that kind. If life already gave me practice, why not use it, right?" Of course, the primary reason he never went into theater was that it was nowhere near physical enough to keep his temper down while rehearsing lines. It simply didn't bode well for a show if Romeo suddenly started beating the shit out of Juliet mid-scene, for no apparent reason other than because. "Are you good at acting? I should probably say now that I suck at it and ask you for tips, but I can't claim that much ignorance." He sniffed out the lie from Blaine almost immediately. When he paid attention, he could easily detect lies. Nothing was as obvious to the scent as dishonesty, for some reason. But he didn't react to it. The question was posed as a test, and by saying that Blaine was lying, Aidan would be probably failing it, because he had no way of proving that he was such a good polygraph. "I am, yes. Been granted with quite some speed by my genetics, so yeah, I'm currently the best track and field has, and I'd probably be very good on the swim team, but it seems to be crowded there. Everyone swims at this school. Guess it's the sight of guys in speedos... or maybe everyone just wants to have a valid excuse to shave their pubes." He struck a pose and laughed, "So what do you think, could I be good in the role of some Greek god or another in a play?" |

A blush quickly appeared on Blaine's face, and he could feel the sudden rise in temperature in his cheeks. He felt slightly embarrassed that a stranger, for all intents and purposes, was so willing to be so blunt that he could actually talk about his dick. Either he wasn't aware of the change in social norms, or Aidan broke all of the "rules" placed by society on what was acceptable and not. Judging it based on the fact that he had decided to remain nude in front of Blaine, the junior assumed it was the latter. Not that he really minded, or was going to complain, as he kind of found it to be rather... refreshing. Besides, it was much better than being ignored, or found to be an imbecile, which was the way that Blaine was feeling anyhow. How could he have missed what Aidan's true intention of his words was? Surely anybody else from the school would have picked up on it.
Choosing to ignore the blatant reference to not being erect, Blaine simply switched the topic to theater, which Aidan seemed to grab onto. This made Blaine wonder if he was also looking for a way out of the more tasty of subjects, but he dismissed that idea. Somehow he doubted that Aidan was one to try to skirt around a subject on sexuality. It practically seeped from his pores and settled onto everything around them, as if he were a being of a high sexual nature. "Yeah, acting is fun, and I'm really good at it. I've been the lead in a few different plays, both here and back at home in a theater group that I've been a part of for a little while." Blaine nodded, knowing that this was an area that he didn't have to be quite so humble in. Not that he was being arrogant by any measure. He just knew that he was good, and he didn't see the point in pretending that he didn't know he was. Especially with Aidan, who clearly didn't mind being so up front about things. Blaine snickered at the comment about just about everyone being on the swim team, and he couldn't help but picture some of the guys on the team. They definitely did look good, as would Aidan, obviously, as he looked fucking gorgeous naked. Not that Blaine would be so bold as to say that. As for coming up with an excuse to shave... Blaine highly doubted that that was the reason, and he hoped they all didn't do that. Guys were supposed to have some hair down there at least, or that's what Blaine's personal opinion was. Of course he didn't date any of them, and he wasn't fucking any of them, so it didn't really matter. It would, however, ruin some of his fantasies. "Well you could probably do a good job playing a Greek god... probably one of the background kind. You know, with fewer lines." A playful smirk came across Blaine's face as he started to pick on him. He didn't know why, but he found it easy to not only talk to Aidan, but also play with him a little bit. "Maybe with a little bit of help from me we can get you up to Zeus proportions. But first you should probably tell me how me being into theater explains things." He crossed his arms and lifted an eyebrow in a questioning manner, almost demanding an answer of some kind. Of course it was nowhere near powerful enough to actually demand anything. Again, it was merely playful. |

Aidan gave a nod to the other's comments about theater. He himself had never had any qualms about stating what he was good at, though most of the time that resulted in a sort of "I'm the greatest fucker around here" statement, it sometimes being metaphorical and then again sometimes being meant literally. The one thing he didn't talk about and yet was great at was his drawing, though that was for he most part because his drawings, as surreal as they mostly seemed, featured what he saw and experienced in his other forms. People tended to praise him when they saw his work, and then step quickly away from him and forget about the drawings once he told them that what he drew was the reality. There was no room for abstract art int he world in this day and age, and the idea of persuading, or rather showing, others that he really was drawing the reality was absurd.
"The background kind? Seriously? You think I am not able to recite lines? Oh, I get it," he stopped for a moment and then continued, his words losing any and all traces of his American accent and becoming those of a Frenchman with very little practice in English, "Eet must be beecoz of my Frrench accent, yes?" he stopped, grinned, then went on with a drawl from Texas, "Ah have ta say, that's mighty prejud'ced of ya. Ah mean, seriously, jus' 'cause someone is from another country, ya exclude 'em like that..." He waved a hand at Blaine's question, offering him a smile instead of an answer. "Oh, just a thing people say, I suppose. It explains why I didn't see you on any of the teams and such. I haven't seen any plays here, so I couldn't have seen you before today. Interesting, isn't it? The school is not all that large, yet there are always people one hasn't even met..." he said, his thoughts finishing the sentence for him Always new people I haven't beaten up or screwed... hah maybe the world isn't all that small after all. |
