Main Gate and Grounds From the long winding road through the forest that leads to the Eastern Facade of the main building to the lake behind the school, the 300 acre campus has a lot to see and explore. The gate is locked after curfew and when school is not in session, otherwise a security guard must open it to allow passage in or out. A forest surrounds the sporting fields, the campus and the lake leading to high walls and the Western boundary cliffs that line the Pacific Ocean. Rumor has it that an underground passage leads all the way out to the Breakers, but that it is too dangerous to use as it opens quite suddenly to a sheer cliff face. And that if you aren't careful you may end up plummeting more than five stories down into the rock strewn surf below. Not many have found it nor are there many living who can recount or recant the validity of such a rumor. breakers campus forest lake sporting fields gymnasium |

Second Floor Most of the academic classrooms are held on this floor as are several communal spaces for the students including study lounges for each grade level. The library is located in the North Tower and rises from the second to the fourth floor and contains almost every book ever printed. The occult section centering on magic is rather extensive though some of these books are locked within a room just off the fourth floor balcony. classrooms common rooms studies library infirmary |

Third Floor Wings stretch outward toward the west providing the privileged views of the lake and forest. One Wing contains the freshman dorms, baths and lounge. The other offers housing to the sophomores and nearly mirrors the design of the other wing, with the exception that there are more private baths. The upper reaches of the dining hall and on opposite corners the theatre and library take up what space is not allotted for on-campus guest housing for parents and faculty. freshman dorms sophomore dorms lounge faculty apts. stage library - level two |

Fifth Floor The seniors sleep and lounge just above the juniors and as on the lower floor the opposite side houses a few classrooms, two faculty apartments each located on each northern corner. There are several locked store rooms and classrooms on this floor. A secret passage connects this floor to the two above as others lead to a private elevator and a winding stair that bypasses the other floors and leads to the second floor below. Some passages and hidden stairs may even lead below ground. senior dorms classrooms storage faculty apartments |

Sixth Floor Currently this area is "officially" off limits to students and regular faculty. The word is that this floor is used primarily for storage, however that may not be entirely true. The headmaster has a private sanctuary here that takes up the upper reaches of the largest tower and it's peaked roof. |

Attic You never know what you may find within the dusty confines of this space. A series of halls connect the locked rooms that lie tucked within the roof line. There is seemingly no public access to this area at current. At least not from the inside. However, two roof top balconies provide not only eagle eyed views of the campus but of the ocean and the community of Hart just over one mile away. |

Below Ground Beneath what is considered Saint Valentines School's main public floor lie several floors dedicated to serving the massive building above. A series of kitchens lie within one wing, each very clearly representing progress through the centuries and help to feed the many students and faculty in attendance. Beyond that an underground bowling alley with four lanes, a large game room, service staff offices and old servant quarters complete the first of these floors. Beneath that the sub-basement is used for food storage and mechanical systems, such as the furnaces, water heaters and cooling systems. What is not often discussed are the tunnels that lie even deeper still, nor the ruins of a home and school long forgotten on which the current school now stands. Enter the tunnels at your own risk. kitchens bowling alley games room service quarters sub-basement |

King of Hearts Club A stylish nightclub that would simply blend into the surrounding buildings if you didn't get this strange feeling whenever you walked by it, like something might be happening inside. And not just partying and drinking and probably sex, but maybe even something more. Ownership of the King of Hearts has been passed down from generation to generation perhaps giving rise to the rumors of a dungeon beneath the cellar and other nefarious goings on. |

Mooreland Park A nice little walk through the park might do you some good. Unless it's Mooreland Park, of course. Be careful after dark. The area's oldest cemetery lies on it's southern border and word has it that not all of the graves are occupied. The town's only hospital lies at the park's northern edge and is named after a Doctor buried due south of it's main entrance. Monument Hart Cemetery Stein Memorial Hospital |

Residences Not everyone works at or attends Saint Valentines School, Hart may just be a small fishing village but you can find a variety of places to live thanks to burgeoning tourism. From the small apartments located over store fronts to the converted industrial lofts downtown to the homes of suburbia you can find all of that in Hart. There are even a few rambling old Victorian era homes not to mention the sprawling mansions along the south shore. |

Coast Highway Somewhere between the rocky cliffs and docks, there is an actual stretch of beach where the noises of the city fade away to give way to the sound of oversexed teenagers and loud vacationing families. The home of a large number of resort communities in recent years, the North Shore has developed it's own pocket community of restaurants, seasonal shoppes and vacation condominiums. The South Shore is known for the fishing docks and marinas that rest along the deep waters of the bay and some of the oldest homes in the area. Farther south there is a exclusive country club and golf course. Beyond that, the road travels down to places like San Francisco and eventually Los Angeles and San Diego. California Dreaming Want to explore? Here you'll find the rest of the state, a special bed and breakfast just down the coast or perhaps even a town where prying eyes won't know who you are with. Rumor has it that mythical creatures still roam the redwood forests, but no one believes those, do they? |
