Brief History of how you came to have this: To be a covert operative like Judas has been, the Ministry required him to at least fend off short mental attacks. He simply found it useful to have another weapon at his disposal and petitioned to train in the offensive mental art, Legilimency, as well.

Judas grunted under the brunt of the Death Eater's unexpected Legilimency attack. He now knew his foe, one of the men that the Order trained with. Severus Snape. The Auror broke eye contact with the traitor, throwing out his specialty hex. "Cruor Vomica," he hissed. While Snape evaded the blood-boiling curse, Judas re-established eye contact and unleashed a brutal wave of mental energy down the channel with another whispered incantation. "Legilimens." He broke away again and watched as Snape reeled at the wave of mental power slamming at his shields. Judas petrified him with a final spell, leaning over to speak with the man behind the mask. "You know, Severus...You lived up to my name already. You and Peter both. I think it's time you live up to yours as well, Severus." The tall Auror intentionally emphasized the name as he readied his wand. "Serrat-" He was halted in mid-spell as a Disarmer his him in the back, wand flying across the street. Snape struggled his way out of the binding spell and Disapparated with nary a word as Judas grabbed the ricocheting wand to curse both Death Eaters.

The Auror barely refrained from screaming in frusteration as he bisected another Death Eater. Judas grunted as he slammed his Occlumency shields in place and focused on the fight at hand, as they were taught to do in training. He barely whispered his incantations, simply preferring to rip a bloody swath through whatever enemies were foolish enough to remain.
