Personality: Rae is, at first sight, a very bouncy character with an important sense of self. And that she is. Energy seems to emanate from every pore on her tall, lanky body. She's in her adolescent phase, and so is enthused by the many 'firsts' coming up in her future. Her focus and attentions are always changing, and she goes through many phases of admiration.
She adores pretty much everyone, but the feeling isn't always mutual. Rejection can be tough for her, because although on the surface it doesn't dent her sunny demeanor, it threatens to dim her view of the world. But that hasn't happened yet.
She isn't so much loyal as needy and clingy, particularly to a few certain persons. Loyalty implies supporting those that are held dear no matter their choices. She aims for it, but often thinks that perhaps she would do that dear one a favor by 'fixing' the situation as best she can, and if she has to go behind their back, well, then, that's what must been done.
She often seems unintelligent because of her scatter-brained personality. However, while she is quite short of common sense, her mind is quite active, exploring the many possibilities of a situation (most of them being rather unpractical).
Rae is a classic romantic, sympathizing with almost every cause brought to her attention. Not that it will be the center of it for long, but whenever she is aware of it, it requires her compassion.
Her views of the future remain optimistic, though rather uncertain. But she cherishes the excitement and uncertainty each day brings.
History:{it's rather short and simple, but I hope you don't mind, 'cause I figured that maybe she could help even out all the sob stories. xD}
Rae was born in a herd, and had a pretty average childhood. She had quite a few friends, and so gained the outlook that all any one ever needed was a smile. But perhaps her fan club was only formed because of her rank as the alpha daughter. The filly was raised in a plentiful land, so she never knew any hardship. Her father gratified all of her whims and refused all of her serious demands.
There was one young stallion in the herd, one who had been permitted to stay because of his unimposing figure and Rae's plea one day when she was one that 'she needed someone to be the rock or the bush or the trout in all of their games, and no one else was willing to do it.' At the ripe age of two, she decided to court him, regardless of the fact that it just simply wasn't the way things were done. He was rather introverted, but did not openly oppose her affections, as he didn't really care to be turned out of the herd and onto the none-too-empty woods beyond it. And so she fancied herself in love, and lucky to find such a perfect partner at such a young age, and now they could spend the rest of their lives together. There was only one flaw in her plan; her leading man never proclaimed his love.
Oh, she had noticed that he was withdrawn, but she tagged it as bashfulness or the trait of a deep philosopher or perhaps that he was simply awed by his serendipity in having found her as well. This disillusionment continued for several months, until she caught him with another filly, one of the more muted members of her posse.
She ran far from the scene, so far and long that she found herself in a foreign land. This local princess at first found surviving on her own difficult, a challenge, but one that pumped adrenalin into her system. She deserved someone with better (or even apparent) facial expressions anyway, someone who wasn't so downright dull. And her father had always babied her, kept her from her independence, her right to proclaim herself as the queen she was. And her mother had never really seemed interested in her, and maybe she could find herself a better mother figure anyway... No, she was far too old for that. She was her own person now. And as for her friends... Well, they had always been slightly uncreative things, always agreeing with her every word and plan.
No, she would find her own adventure in the great, wide world.
{ooc uppdate: I've had lots of convos regarding rae's looks. she's supposed to be pretty, but also kinda awkward.}
