A few years ago I found on the web a picture that I really love. I am trying to find out who painted it.
There is a beared elderly man asleep on a bench in a bar or a pub. As you look at the picture there is his crook to his right. To his left, sharing the bench is a black and white BC and there is another on the floor asleep near his feet. The shepherd has his boots facing you and they are very well nailed. There is a small round table in front of him on which is an ashtry, a pipe and a half empty pint glass of what looks like stout.

I think his work offers detail without being stiff and formulaic, and he really capturers life and atmosphere. Beautiful work.
