Dear Forumers, wanted to let you all know that our beloved Barbara has passed away. She died in a fire; somehow her longtime boyfriend Veron found my email address in spite of the computer being destroyed by the fire. Barbara had found out about me and Elly and that I was from the U.S. and Barbara just thought Eluane was such a funny, funny girlie. Then when Eluane had a spiral fracture as a puppy, Barbara sent a care package filled with wonderful treats and toys for Eluane. That is my wonderful Barbara you see, so full of sweetness and gentleness. and for these 3 years we built this really special friendship. . I still have all her emails that she had sent as well for these 3 years and we would Instant Messenger each other to chat all the time She will be so missed in my heart and life….

Thank you everyone for your replies... There is no one who was so gentle in spirit, so kind as our Barbara, never an unkind thing to say, always so sweet, trusting and gentle... Just seeing her picture/siggy that is still on my Messenger (that even still is there as if she had never left this world) breaks my heart. And last night I looked at all her pictures, the piccies of Foxy and Quincey, and her nieces and nephews with prayers for them. I am sure she is reading our posts, and sending her love to each and every one of you... My heart right now is breaking. Had to take off work yesterday and tonight I will send off another Farewell message/letter to her on Messenger. The last takeoff into Cyberspace (like we say in anime-terms)...

Lou, Chel, everyone, I am trying to find out what has happened to Foxy and Quincy, but so far her boyfriend hasn't yet replied... I think he must still be going through so many devastating feelings. And I am thinking that the animals would have perished as well. *sad*

Again, the awful thing is that I read my email a month later when he had first written to me. What happened was that I was under a huge animation deadline I have been so exhausted with the deadlines as well as Eluane's agililty classes (she is in Advanced Competition level agility classes now) that I was only getting 4 hours of sleep (we train 3 times a week now and it's an hour's drive total per session). How stupid, stupid, stupid of me. Had I known such a thing would have happened I would have been sure to check my email. It is a very sad thing when our priorities in life get so botched up... Had I seen the email right when it had been sent, I could have kept in immediate touch with Vernon and have known even more of what had happened... The fire was at 7:00 a.m. that is the only detail I have had.... the dates and the day she was buried.... our beloved Barbara... If I find what happened to Foxy and Quincy, I will let you all know...

Mish it was a very thoughtful of you to add her last piccies from the forum as well. It is a wonderful way to leave her presence here at BC World for everyone to remember her by.

I have written Barbara by cyperspace and will be writing her again this Easter, especially, when we can relive again our memories of those we hold dear in our hearts.... I am always always thinking of her....
