Stranger Danger Group: bT Members Posts: 6 Member No.: 28 Joined: 11-November 08	i was talking with palin freeborn a few nights back about zombie movies and cliches regarding them. so the next day i was thinking about it and came up with a funny idea what would a bunch of geeks do if they survived the zombie Apocalypse. thus Geeks v. Zombies AKA Left 4 Geek. now i mentioned this concept to Palin freeborn as a possible map idea and after talking for a bit we came up with this possibly being even a full on Mod. here is the basic premise that me and Palin hammered out. 4 geeks survive the zombie apocalypse due to them having a three day weekend of Lan party/D&D gaming in the basement. when they emerge they find the zombies have overrun the city and their initial reaction is "what the hell happened?" "i dunno? Global Warming?" they then decide to go to a safe place....the comic book store and then the videogame store & then the D&D/RPG/Hobby store etc. we figured each geek would be a seperate type of geek 1. SciFi geek- starwars/startrek/dr.who/etc. 2. D&D geek- LARP/D&D/LOTR/etc. 3. Gaming Geek- Video games of all sorts 4. Anime Geek- possibly female with cat ears/fairy wings who makes references to everything Anime/Manga we also thought of replacing the med packs with bags of Cheetos and the pain pills with mountain dew. As well as modding the special zombies in some way. so if anyone has any ideas or would like to help please post it here.

I want to do AI for some NPCs in my upcoming campaign, but we'll see how it goes. I know at least some of us have modeling experience, including myself, but right now, most everything we're throwing around is just ideas. And, until Valve delivers on the changes they promised (including a cvar overhaul, due to the fact that most of the game cvar mechanics are only modifiable if sv_cheats is on), then this mod won't see a start for a while. Plus, we need the SDK.
