Black Thorn Academy

Riverstone, a small town in Western Europe, was once a ghost town.

Until a young lady with a dream, breathed life into this place. Where there was once ruin now stood buildings. Where there was no one, now stood a bustling city.

However, with the good comes the bad. And even though metakind once again has its sanctuary, there are outside forces that wish to destroy us.

Some students will rise up to defend against the threats, while others will form their own rebellious plans.

Will you be a hero? Or a villain?

Before you refuse me, know that if you do you will leave this world defenseless for what is coming."

"So that's my choices? Become a cosmic slave or let the world die?" Rhys asked.

"Normally, yes. But what this cosmic is offering you is a true binding. You will be one. He will be you. You will be him." Percy explained.

Great, where did this leave her? Rhys was going to join himself up with something Orin didn’t understand and didn’t trust. Well, she knew that they wouldn’t have a lasting future, but this…this really wasn’t fair. It wasn’t her place to speak. This was really Rhys’ choice. She didn’t like it. But he was a big boy and he could make his own choices.

“What do you want to do, Rhys? I’ll support you. But know that I’ll miss you if you decide to become a cosmic,” Orin told him, sadly. She didn’t want to be without him. But she didn’t want the world to end, either.

"Dad, I need some time with this..." Rhys told his after.

Perseus nodded. "Very well, I'll be with your uncles when you're ready." Then he was gone.

Rhys turned to Orin and sighed. He didn't know what to do either. "I'll miss you too... I hope... But you heard my dad. If I don't do this, everyone will die. If I do, people have a chance to live... If you die because I didn't do this... It'll be worse than just not being with you, Orin. That I know."

“Then you should probably go. Don’t forget you promised me at least one more night. I’d suggest you go now, before you change your mind. Don’t want the world ending because of me,” Orin told Rhys, giving him one last kiss on the lips. She then pulled away and started to walk out. She didn’t want this to happen, but she supposed it had to. It was probably for the best.
