AHH! Again, so excited about how this scene came out:

“So what are you going to do? Throw me in jail? Kill me?” she asked, her eyes turning red as the instinct to fight and survive took over.

“No, no, nothing as barbaric as that,” Damien assured her. With every step he drew closer and closer. “There are certain things we don’t know about your kind. Certain things that would prove…beneficial to us and to someone in your position. Tell me more about your son and who changed you, and I would be willing to go easy on you. Maybe I can even arrange a pardon for your cooperation.”

Celina pulled away from him as he drew nearer, but the silver of the bands around her wrists and ankles prevented her from being able to escape or move as far as she would like. “And if I refuse?” she asked, her breath coming out in sharp gasps. Damien approached her chair, as Morlay moved to stand behind her. She didn’t look at the Slayer, afraid to tear her eyes away from the dark ones in front of her.

Damien moved forward, his voice dropping as he whispered dangerously into her ear. “Trust me, Ms. Ellis. You don’t want to refuse.”

When he pulled away, Celina lunged for his throat, her teeth missing his flesh by merely centimeters. She would not give up her son. Suddenly a searing pain exploded in her neck as something sharp and hot pierced the skin. She screamed in agony, jerking and twisting to try and escape what she knew to be silver. Morlay stood behind her, drawing out blood from a silver coated syringe. When the vial was full, he pulled the needle out, leaving Celina bleeding and wracked with pain.

“Put her downstairs.” Damien ordered. The pain and loss of blood made Celina weak, but she still fought against Morlay as the Slayer unbound her arms and feet and dragged her back down to the bowels of the tower.
