1.1 General Rules
1.1.1. You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use this site. ]
This is not our rule, it is invisionfree’s. However, we will enforce it by freezing any accounts belonging to children under thirteen years of age. You will have your account unfrozen once you turn thirteen. If we discover that you have lied about your age and are under thirteen your account will be deleted. Besides, if you’re under thirteen don’t you think you’re a little young to be developing an internet addiction? Go outside and play!
1.1.2. This board is rated PG-13.
As such, please keep it to this rating. No graphic sex scenes; no gore or heavy violence. Drug use and self-harm are not permitted. These are also invisionfree’s rules, and breaking them may result in our forum being deleted.
1.1.3. Keep foul language to a minimum.
Again, please try to keep to the PG-13 rating. If you wouldn’t say it to your mother, don’t say it here.
1.1.4. Be active!
If you are going away or you know you won’t be able to post, please leave a note in the Hiatus Thread, located here. If you sign up and change your mind, please PM an admin and we will delete your account. If you sign up and don’t post, you may be deleted after five days. Inactive accounts may be deleted after fourteen days.
1.1.5. Multiple accounts are permitted.
However, each account must be active. If you find that you are having trouble keeping up, PM an admin and we will freeze/delete any excess accounts for you.
1.1.7. Usernames should be a first and last name.
Users who do not comply with this will be asked to choose a new username. For example: Joe Smitch is acceptable, heyjoe13 is not.
1.1.9. Have fun!
After all, what’s the point of this place if not for members’ enjoyment?

1.2 In-Character Guidelines
1.2.1. No God-moding PLEASE READ THIS!
Your character is not invincible. No matter how fast they are, in a fight they will eventually get hit. If they read minds they will not always know everything. Even if they have mastered their ability they can still make mistakes. Breaches may result in warning or banning.
1.2.2. No powerplaying.
You can only control your own character; keep yer furry mitts off everyone else’s! Breaches may result in warning or banning.
1.2.3. Please use proper English.
Chatpseak is not acceptable. Please take the time to type out your posts and check them for errors. If you have trouble with spelling, use a spellcheck; there are plenty available online or for purchase.
1.2.4. Posts should be of acceptable length.
An acceptable length is at least three to four lines. Breaches will result in a warning.
1.2.5. Paragraphs.
Use them. Reading large blocks of text is difficult and hurts peoples’ eyes. Breaches will result in a warning.
1.2.6. Don’t jump into the middle of a thread.
If a conversation is going on and your character enters the room, don’t pretend they were there the whole time. Please indicate that you have entered the room or place and then join the conversation. Just because you can read what happened before you entered the room, doesn’t mean your character knows what happened.
1.2.7. All posts must be in third person, past tense.
This is usually a standard rule for play-by-post RPG boards, and will be discussed more in 3.4
1.2.8. If your character is given a detention, they must attend it.
This is a school RPG, and it should be played as such.
1.2.9. Attendance at your character’s ability class is compulsory.

1.2.9. Attendance at a minimum of ONE Basic class is compulsory.

1.3 Out-Of-Character Guidelines
1.3.1. Keep drama off the board.
Don’t insult someone based on their race/sex/religion/nationality/hair colour/eye colour/favourite book/dogs vs. cats/the house they were born in/the house their neighbor was born in/their neighbor’s favourite cat/their neighbor’s cat’s favourite variety of tinned food/their neighbor’s cat’s favourite variety of tinned food’s third-most-secret ingredient. You get the picture. If you have a REAL issue with a member, contact an admin (Lillith Hale or Ilyr Cernunnos) and we will deal with it.
1.3.2. SPAM is completely forbidden.
Depending on the admins’ current mood, you may be warned or banned. SPAM is annoying and it clutters up the board.
1.3.3. Advertising is permitted in the Advertising forum.
You are permitted to post a link to your board in the Advertising forum and in your signature. Any links posted anywhere else will result in a warning. PMs to members may result in a warn or a ban, as per 1.3.2.

1.4 C-Box Rules
1.4.1. Advertising
Guests and members are not allowed to advertise in any shape or form. This means, for a guest, do not post any links or advertise your link in the C-Box. This goes for members too. It's alright to tell people you've posted in a thread or what not, but I don't want to see any links to said thread. If people are going to respond to a thread, they will find it themselves.

1.4.2. Spam
It is not allowed to spam in the shoutbox. Meaning multiple messages after each other with no purpose or meaning. I know this has been done in the past, without meaning to. But if you're the only person online, I don't want to see mutiple random posts from you in the C-Box. There's no reason for it.

1.4.3. Language
Obviously no heavy swearing in the C-Box since there is no heavy swearing allowed on the board. Also, I know you have limited characters in a post, but still try and use proper grammer when you can. I personally can't even continue reading something if it's full of mistakes or mispelled words.

1.5 Consequences
1.5.1. Verbal warning.
After your first offence, you will be given a “verbal warning”. This will not reflect on your warn level.
1.5.2. Official warning.
Once you have had a verbal warning, continued offences will result in an official warning. Each official warning will result in a 20% increase in your warn level.
1.5.3. Short-term temporary ban.
Once your warn level reaches 60%, you will be banned from using the forums for a short period of time. The time may vary between one week to one month and will be decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity of the offences.
1.5.4. Long-term temporary ban.
Once your warn level reaches 80%, you will be banned from using the forums for a longer period of time. The time may vary between one month to one yea, and will be decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity of the offences.
1.5.5. Permanent ban.
If your warn level reaches 100%, you will be permanently banned from using the forums.
1.5.6. IP ban.
If, after receiving a permanent ban, you return with a different account and cause trouble, your IP address and email will be banned permanently.
1.5.7. Recovering warn percentage.
Three weeks after your latest warning, you may apply to one of the administrators (Lillith Hale) to have your warn level reduced by 20%.
Your application may take several days to process.
a. If you are successful, you must wait three weeks to request another warn reduction.
b. If you are denied, you must three weeks before you can request again to have your warn level reduced.
1.5.8. Administrators reserve the right to vary from these guidelines, based on the severity of the offense.
