So we've got a thread for pop and books, why not music? So what do you listen to mostly? What is your guilty pleasure?
I love country, like Chris Cagel, Alison Krauss, etc. I also love christian music like Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp or MercyMe. Occasionally I slip some oldies in, like ABBA or The Beatles. My number one favorite group ever is Casting Crowns. I have seen them in concert twice! My guilty pleasure music is Kelly Clarkson, which I hate out of my anti-trendy priciple. But shhhhh, no one else knows! |

haha I actually really like Kelly Clarkson... mm lets see .. on my ipod (well i dont have a ipod.. but i have the rokr phone.. and it has itunes so same difference! lol) right now.. is :
*Michelle Branch - old school.. lol but i like her songs *Cheyenne Kimball- i love her show on MTV soo i downloaded some of her songs... * I like some rap... but not alot * Taking Back Sunday * I dont like the look of it- Da Back Wudz.. haha funniest song in the world! I call it the OOmpa Loompa song! lol * Trapt.. * Rascal Flatts I basically listen to anything and everything! |

Country is definitely my preferance. I think it's because it's what I grew up with - so I like the old country - Johnny Cash, Joe Diffy, Tanya Tucker ((I actually saw her once, I was like 5 and she came to perform at the rodeo - my dad was a JC, so I got to meet her.)), etc. I also like the new stuff - I've really been on a Wreckers/Dixie Chicks kick lately - but I usually like male singers/groups better. Not so whiney sounding. OH. I REALLY like Josh Turner - dang. It's definitely a little more twangy, but his voice is like so deep and just yummy.
Other than that, I guess I go oldies ((Simon and Garfunkel, the Temptations, a few 80's bands, etc.)) or Pop. I'm not really much for rap, it's okay when I'm ticked off though. I enjoy most of the Christian groups, but we don't have a good station here and I don't have very many cd's...so they usually kind of get neglected. That's about it, really. I'll pretty much just listen to anything. I guess I could have said that at the beginning and saved myself a lot of typing... |
