Autobotcity Rules and Reg's
### WELCOME TO AUTOBOTCITY ON EARTH ###

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for visiting Autobotcity, we hope your stay will be a pleasant one and that you may be an active citizen. Whether your an Autobot or Decepticon, Maximal or Predacon, a Minicon or maybe even a Quintesson, you're welcome to use our forums!

There's just one thing you should remember when posting here, which is to abide by our city rules. Well two things actually, the other being have fun!

RULES AND REGULATIONS (STILL Under Construction)

AUTOBOTCITY CITIZENSHIP AND CONDUCT

1) Membership is free to all, but please be aware that this City is founded at DeviantART and that most of our citizens residate there. A DeviantART account is not required. Our main focus point at DeviantART is of course Autobotcity. So if you do HAVE a DeviantART account and wish to make use of all Autobotcity's facilities and contests, getting a (free) DeviantART account and registering at Autobotcity would be recommended.

2) First and foremost, regardless of what you think of another citizen, you shall not flame, insult or in other ways intentionally offend another boardmember, especially not your local mods and admins. Arguments shall be taken to Private Messages or e-mail, if these however escalate, please contact a moderator so the argument can be settled.

3) Our forum is for citizens of all ages. Please bare this in mind when posting: No vulgarities, distastefullness, explicit contents like nudity, etc. Our Surveillance Team will edit out anything they find unsuitable for the younger among us!

4) Please try to post in the appropriate forums, it makes life easier for everyone, especially the moderators! :) If you're not sure if you've posted in the right forum, or if you're sure, you can always ask a moderator if he or she can move it to the appropriate forum. :) But don't worry if you make a mistake, it's not the end of Cybertron.

5) No advertising! We're not a commercial operation and we're not here for anyone else's benefit but for our citizens. Also it's not highly appreciated if you post links to other neighbouring cities trying to make our people to emigrate.

6) Signatures must stay within the limits stated here: The maximum size for images is 200x500 pixels. Any bigger and it's going to be tough for people on Dial-Up (4 kb/s) so please don't overdo your signatures.

7) Spamming of topics is not appreciated unless you have some very good reasons for it. Spamming (Named after Monty Python's SPAM scene) means an overload of SPAM. Useless posts, stuff like you get in your e-mail, etc is overall not appreciated, unless you've been cleared in particular topics.

8) Bumping, no Transformer likes to drive bumper to bump...Ehr... No bumping is posting on a topic/thread that has layn dead for over a large period of time, or only posting with the purpose of keeping your (or a) topic on top. Overall, if a thread is over a month old it becomes just that: OLD. Don't bump those threads unless you've got a reason for it (like having been on holiday and having missed it). But don't start asking why a two year old thread has red X's or something.

9) More of a bunch of tips than a rule: Use your common sense when posting! Think before you post, read it back, think if there may be anything in there that could be read wrong. Other readers may pick up on things you never intended and this may cause confusion and friction. Use smileys to indicate your mood when writing it, if something is a joke, it'll more likely be picked up like that with a smiley next to it.

ART/FICTION POSTING RULES

1)a) Art must be of original making. This means if you post it, YOU must have made or written it.
b) If you for - for example practice purposes - copy art originally or partially created by others, you MUST refer to the original creator and add where you found it. If possible try to obtain permission from the original creator/creators before using their art. If you don't have permission, it's wise to state so, but wiser to not use it. Some people are touchy about their work, others are not but you don't know this in advance. Remember that every artwork and image has a copyright, even on the internet.

2) Art can be drawn (pencils), inked, colored, but also written or 3D modelled or kitbashes. Alterations of anyone's work should be approved by the copyright holder.

3) Transformers related artwork that's completed must be posted in the Finished Transformers Art section, while non-Transformers artwork has it's own section. Works In Progress (WIPs) also have their own section. So anything related to Transformers - like Spike Witwicky or Marissa Fairborn, falls in the first category, while Spiderman generally does not unless it's a crossover. While ANY WIP falls in to the WIP section, regardless of type.

4) All Written Submissions shall fall in the Fan Fiction category, much like the visual artworks.

5) Any Tutorials you may have produced are welcomed to be posted in our Tutorials section! We encourage you to find helpful tutorials on varying (also non-TF) art, writing, scripting, modelling etc. subjects!

Finally: PLEASE REMEMBER TO READ ALL THE SPECIFIC FORUM RULES AS SOME ARE MORE STRINGENT AND OTHERS A LITTLE BIT LESS. SPECIFIC FORUM SECTION RULES APPLY TO EACH OF THE DESIGNATED POSTING AREA.

AUTOBOTCITY CONTESTS

All Autobotcity contests submissions must be submitted to the correct thread within the Contest Section, which resides as a subforum in the Finished Transformers Art section.

Before submitting, please be sure you completely understand the rules applied to that specific contest.

We hope you'll enjoy all our current and upcoming contests and draw offs!

AUTOBOTCITY'S HISTORY AND OBJECTIVES:
The first stones of Autobotcity were laid on the 18th of april 2003 by Comixink and HanSime, planning to built a home for all Transfans at DeviantART which was soon to be founded as a seperate DeviantART account: Autobotcity was born!

Our philosophy was and still is today an united Transfans Community where All Can Be One and therefore we made it a shared account, trusting on the goodwill of our citizens. Autobotcity Citizenship is free for all who are willing to participate in our community. Our city gradually and grew at a quite steady rate, now counting well over 200 inhabitants! Our goals as set then still stand today:

- To provide a place where everyone is welcome and mingle
- To promote Transformers artwork created by our citizens and the making thereof in general
- To provide superior critique than can be found elsewhere in the fandom, therefore improving the artwork spawned by our members, which not only helps their Transformers artwork, but should ideally improve all their drawing skills up from beginner to semi- and possibly even professional level!

As art is our focuspoint, we've ordered our forums according to our priorities: The arts:

Drawing, Inking, Coloring, Modelling, Kitbashing and of course Writing.

We hope you'll find our City up to our own standards and will contribute your building blocks to achieve what we set out to do.

Thank you for joining or visiting our City, here on the forums and at DeviantART!

TILL ALL ARE ONE!

-Autobotcity Staff and Community.
