There went the color in his pale cheeks again. As her hair brushed his cold shoulder, his back shivered, making him warm for a second or so. Twitch two. Giving a curled frown, he murmured, "Urh... Here," Sticking one leg to the side and pushing himself against the tree, he attempted to hoist himself up slowly...
..That is, if he hadn't slipped. Falling right back down, this time straight in the snow, face-up and half-on Ker, he cursed silently and growled, "I hate snow."

Shmaaack. Twitch. Zach wiped the ice off his face, his eyes now clouded in mussed black, his eyeliner wet and messy from the cold, wet, snow. Standing now, he crunched his way through the snow, looking around several trees for the faun, where she was hiding.
Time for some reverse pyschology, then. Cupping his hands to his mouth, the man called out, "Well, I see it as a war. The fact that I like myself and well, I know you want me too~ So come out, faun, want a peace treaty?"

The slush-wad whizzed past, grazing Zach's ear painfully, ripping at his one gold hoop. He coiled and grabbed at his ear, hissing at the rush of burning cold. "BAJESUSKER. God demn, you didn't have to friggin take my head off," he yelled in fury, making sure the injruy was minor frostbite, cured by insessent rubbing. Leaning up against a tree trunk and glaring at Ker, Zach fumed and held one hand over his ear, the other fiddling to remove snow from his black locks.

A gleam crossed the man's features, his eyes hueing to a dull aqua, his lips gnarling into a gruesome scowl. A glossy thread of memory waved before his vision, an image so disturbingly in depth you could slice through it.
They were in late, Zach could make out the scratch of the card key in the door beside his own. The drunken laughter gave away their alibi, they had gone out partying again. As the door clicked open, four feet tangled across the heavily padded carpet, arms swinging about, knocking knickknacks of shelves.
The balcony door that connected the two rooms opened with a swish, and Zach cursed the balcony was there in the first place. Putting down his book at the small coffee table, he stood and glided over to the glass door. Before he could reach it, though, Brandon's fists pounded the glass.
"'Ey Sleepin' Beautay, geddup, no one's sleepin' tonoight!" the boy drawled, followed by an incoherent giggle from his partner in crime, Annie. Throwing back the glass door to make it smack against the wall, Zach glared at the two through bed-ridden hair.
"You two are going to kill yourselves with this crap. Annie, away from the rail and get back in the room. My guess is you'll be huggin' Johnny soon anyway--" Too late. Annie let loose a storm of digested alcohol and God knows what else onto the streets below, making her dizzy; she fell back into the room, into a rounded armchair.
"That's a good girl," Zach mumbled, turning his scowl back on his old friend. "Bra, ya gotta stop doin' this to yourself. It's--" A blow to the chest sent Zach sprawling to the floor, gaping up at his friend. A hazy look of defiance struck Brandon's face as he stumbled a bit before turning back into his room, locking the door behind him.
The flash back was gone, his eyes returned to their glow once again. Holding his checkered and ragged shoes in one hand, Zach started to make his way up the stairs. With his back to Ker, he growled a response.
"The partying was Annie and Branodn's job. If you ever read a paper you'd see the headline. Two Band Members Facing Substance Abuse. Was The Party Too Much For Brandon? Snake Disbans–Annie Disappears Into The Club Again--" His voice cracked as it trailed off, his form sliding into the Lobby of the Inn. Curling up onto the couch facing the fire place, his eyes went dull again as he stared into the flames, remembering how much that suckerpunch had hurt the next day, how Brandon had forgotten what he'd done, how Zach couldn't sing the next week due to his lung and ribs being bruised. Brandon had had brass knuckles builtin back then, when his body wasn't worn down by the drink.
