It is currently High Summer
Blistering hot, and quite humid, this is not the time of year to try for a tan unless you like the lobster red variety. People spend as little time outside as they can get away with, preferring the cooler, darker recesses of the caves of the Weyr. Only Draconics seem to delight in soaking up the unusually bright rays falling from Rukbat.

Jan 7th: The Weyrlings have been found! Ista, Clydek, and Aphelion Weyrs turn out for the largest dragon formation in the history of Pern! But how will this day be reflected upon?

Jan 10th: The Weyrlings have been brought home! But at a terrible price! Dragon on dragon violence has occurred en masse!

Jan 13th: Victory Gather is open!!!

Feb 1st: Gold Regal is in the air!! Which stunning stud will catch her? Flitters ahoy!

The Market The Market is a long open area near the Weyrbowl. Whenever a Gather comes to the Weyr, this is where it is held. The Market contains many little shops, often stocked to contain goods from every craft. Even the beastcrafters here sell their bits, be it flitters or a new breed of canine. Dragon's Teeth Range This is the long mountain range that divides the island in half and leads into the Sandy Hills. This is a great place for a person, rider or not, to hide if they did not want to be found. Forests These forests have not been named, and most have not been fully explored. Another wonderful place to hide, though not always for those who are intelligent. The Beaches Wide open beaches outline Sillion Isle, a nice place to go when one needs a break from Weyrlife. They would be hard to reach by someone without a dragon, sometimes impossible depending upon the season. The Other Isles Gold Queen Isle and Ralen Isle to the south of Sillion or Sailow Isle and Perching Isle to the north. Also the dangerous Lookout Crag to the north between Sailow and Perching. The Plains The wide open, gently rolling plains that cover the rest of the island. Wild animals roam here in large herds, when not scared off by dragons. The Open Seas Wide open to the edges of the horizon, there is a lot of open ocean surrounding the Kindred Isles. Generally, it is not a nice place to go, as it is all to easy to get lost in a boat if you don't know what you are doing.
