[Nikolas Cassadine]

Emily asked me what was wrong and I found myself relaxing once I gazed into her eyes. I brought my hand up and ran it across her cheek.

“Whoever took you from me is going to pay,” I said, tracing the outline of her lips with the tips of my fingers. She had always had perfect lips. It was just now, however, that I realized how much I had missed them.

Emily kissed the fingertips that traced against her lips and then smiled. She knew he was deadly serious but she didn't want him getting hurt either way. "How can they pay if we don't even know who they were or how to find them?" She asked softly. Emily had not even the slightest hint of who the people who held her captive were. She never recalled any names but if she had heard them over the years, she had forgotten.

Bracing his daughter against her with one hand, with her free hand she reached out and brushed against his cheek. She felt like she had to touch him to make herself believe that they were truly there together and it wasn't a dream that she'd wake up from like she had a lot of the times before. "Knowing that you have other children now, are you married to someone or dating someone too?" Emily decided to change the subject away from revenge and ask what she had been wondering.

I leaned into her touch, relishing in the familiar softness of her hands. However, her question snapped me back to reality. I shook my head, clasping her free hand in mine.

“No, no. Elizabeth and I were together for a while. She is the mother of Adien and Ava, but no. It does not matter though, because I have always belonged to you, Emily. Always.”

[Emily Quartermaine]

Emily leaned over and kissed Nikolas softly. The words brought tears to her eyes but she didn't cry. She nodded her head a little bit. Honestly she hadn't expected him to end up with Elizabeth but as long as he had been happy. "At least you were able to be happy though. You got two other great kids out of it to go along with Spencer." Emily smiled softly.

I nodded in agreement. Adien and Ava were both wonderful children, but Elizabeth could never be Emily.

“Elizabeth was never able to replace you, Emily. I never stopped loving you,” I assured her.

Of course there was a part of me that loved Elizabeth. At one time. She was the mother of my children, and I still cared for her deeply. But, now that Emily was back, it couldn’t go beyond that.

"I never once stopped loving you, Nikolas." She smiled at him, hardly able to believe that today had turned out to be the day that she was able to have Nikolas face to face once again. "It's so hard to realize that this is real and not just one of the dreams that I have had a million times or more."

"I know what you mean," I whispered, before kissing her gently. I wanted nothing more than to make love to her at that moment, but seeing her with my daughter was a close second.

"Maybe now we will be able to have the life that was taken away from us all those years ago." Emily mused as she looked from Nikolas to his daughter which had fallen asleep against her chest,. She smiled as she patted her back softly.

“Hopefully,” I agreed. I had the sudden urge to propose to her, but I assumed that would be too much too soon. I did not want to rush into anything Emily wasn’t ready for, or scare her off. She had obviously been through something traumatic.

“Rose! Can you take Ava?” I yelled out for the nanny. The woman rushed into the living room, and took the sleeping baby.

She was Spencer’s nanny. Not Ava and Adien’s, which was probably why she hadn’t tended to her when she started to cry. As soon as Ava was gone, I pressed my lips to Emily’s, kissing her throughouly (sp?)

Now that I knew that the kids were being taken of, and we were completely alone, it was safe to express all my pent up emotions. And before I knew it I had her pressed down into the couch and tears were streaming down my face.

Emily reluctantly gave up Nikolas's sleeping daughter to the Nanny named Rose. She watched until they both had disappeared - leaving her and Nikolas alone. Not that she was unhappy about that because she wasn't. After all she had dreamed of that moment a thousand time and in a hundred thousand different ways. Emily kissed Nikolas back happily and with just as much passion and abandonment as he was kissing her.

Before long and before she even realized it, Nikolas was pressing her down into the plush comfortable sofa with his body weight sweetly crushing her - in a good way though. Emily wrapped her arms around him and pulled him even closer and tighter to her body. "I missed you so so much." She whispered against his mouth as they kissed. She broke her hold around him to bring her hand up and brush away some of the tears that were spilling from his eyes. They were definitely on the same page when it came to how they were feeling with this reunion.

I caught the hand that she had been using to wipe away my tears and placed a kiss to it’s wrist. I supported my weight on one arm and looked into her eyes for a moment. They were shining with unshed tears.

“I love you,” I whispered, leaning down to kiss her softly.

Emily smiled, holding his hand in her own once he took her hand. With her free hand though, she still reached up and brushed his cheek softly. She looked him directly in the eyes when she spoke, very serious like. "It's always been you, Nikolas. There's never been anyone else that has filled my heart so completely. I love you too. Always." Finally she kissed him.

Her words made my heart swell with love. I returned her kiss gently, taking the time to explore her mouth with my tongue. I loved this woman, more than I had ever thought possible. I had always loved her, and I always would. I pulled back, and stood from the couch. I offered her my hand, silently asking her to come with me to my bedroom. Our bedroom.

Emily took his hand and got to her feet with his assistance. She smiled at him as he lead them to a room that she was still very much familiar with even though it had been several long years since she had seen it. She looked at him, knowing words weren't really necessary. Their eyes and their feelings for one another were enough to answer all questions and doubts.

Using our joined hands, I pulled her to me and claimed her lips in a gentle kiss. I released her hand and ran my hands up her sides teasingly, before grabbing the hem of her shirt and slowly pulling it over her head. Once her shirt was gone I was amazed by how beautiful she was, standing there, in front of me, in nothing but her jeans and black satin bra.
