: Manic Darragon
: Winter 25th, Year 5414
: Onite, South Amaranti
: Medium length & often tied back into a mini-ponytail. Manic has dark brown hair, and it is a peculiar style indeed. For whatever reason, it naturally wisps upward. He has no real bangs to speak of, though there are a few strands of hair that jut out around the front area of his face. Manic doesn't need to stylize it either, since it's usually this way.
: His eyes are rather wide, and retain a strong determination to them. They're also very good at portraying his emotions, brightening when he's happy, dulling eerily whenever he's saddened and blazing with fire when angered. The colour of them is a mixture of browns, though in some light, they can appear to be red. Another peculiar trait, one that Manic can't explain.
Clothes & armour
: Manic generally wears a red jacket, black coloured pants and red boots. He also wears red gloves. For whatever reason, Manic chooses to wear brown coloured suspenders, probably more for fashion than to actually be of any use. He wears a brown belt, which generally has his two sword scabbards attached on either side of his hip. Beneath his jacket, he'll wear a black muscle shirt and beneath that some iron chain-mail.
If he happens to be headed to a colder region, or if the temperature drops, Manic will wear a couple more layers beneath his jacket, two pairs of socks and a scarf tightly wrapped around his neck. He'll also use a cloak, to keep the wind away from his face. For warmer weather, he generally wears the same thing, though sometimes he will choose shorts over pants -- or just roll his pant legs up. Whichever is more convenient at the time.
Manic has a blue coloured sphere embedded into the skin on top of his left hand. Also embedded around the sphere is a circlet, which is used (unknown to Manic) to suppress any magical enhancements it may provide, as well as (known to Manic) to keep the sphere from falling out of his skin or becoming damaged.
Weapon of Heart
12 feet tall
Witty, charming, selfless, goofy, loud
Vain, violent when angered, possessive, competitive, brash

Wind Slice [A horizontal green blade of wind, slashed from Manic's sword. Used to cut through enemies, or other objects.]
Quick Run [Channeling the wind element inside of himself, Manic uses this spell to increase his running speed.]
Manic's attitude has pretty much faded away with the passage of time. While he is confident and sure of himself, he is no longer arrogant or cocky. He acknowledges his faults and weaknesses, and desperately strives to right the wrongs and mistakes he has made over the years. His temper has quelled as well; while he still does get angry, it takes time to build and instead of lashing out, Manic will hold back and analyze what needs to be done during a desperate or dire situation.
He has shown courage and the strength to be a natural born leader, and would surely make his family proud. However, just because he has strength and courage does not mean Manic is without doubt. There are days, times, when Manic severely questions his own actions and the actions of others. He doesn't follow things people advise him to do blindly; Manic will do what he can for the best outcome, even if it means going against protocol or someone else's advice.
No longer hypocritical, Manic will only speak up if he feels it's necessary, any otherwise he'll keep his trap shut. He's revealed over the past year or so that he is indeed a very smart individual and was merely feigning stupidity and ignorance for the sake of protecting himself -- a selfish act of cowardice that he doesn't rely upon anymore.
Ever observant, he is quick to catch onto someone's lies or their deceit, and will act accordingly to protect himself and those around him. If Manic feels someone or something may become a threat or a hindrance in the future, he will confront the issue head on after some careful thought and planning.
Manic lives for the future, and does his best to preserve any memories of the past he holds dear to his heart. When he was younger, he would toss aside things people said without a second thought, and often forgot quite a bit he was told. Nowadays, he holds things people say to him closely; depending on if it's good advise or not, of course. He isn't naive and won't take everything someone says to heart, but he will use any criticism he receives as more reason to improve upon himself.
While he can still joke around and make fun, Manic does so in a more reserved and respectful manner. He'll no longer poke fun at people just for the sake of getting a laugh out of them, only choosing to do so when he's in high spirits. Any otherwise, you won't hear Manic making much jokes at all; he's quite a calm, quiet and serious individual. This doesn't mean he has a stick up his rear, however, because Manic will still laugh whenever people are enjoying their time and having fun, but he does know when to bunker down and get to work.
He doesn't flirt at all; beforehand, Manic was quite the 'ladies man' and hit on anyone with boobs that looked appealing to him. He's definitely matured in this aspect and will only show serious romantic affections towards someone he's known for quite some time, and if they have gained enough of his trust and companionship. He isn't dense, and will pick-up on someone hitting on him, though most times Manic will gently turn them down.
Manic was found by a man named Logan. He was five at the time, and had washed up on the Sanctuary Shore, just outside Onite Town. Unable to find anyone to look after the boy, Logan took in Manic and raised him as his son. Manic somehow had always known that Logan wasn't his real dad, but that didn't stop the young boy from being thankful to him all the same, for raising him.
He grew up normally, making and breaking friendships, doing average with his school grades and slowly learning to perfect his magical element of wind. But even though Manic was enjoying life, and had it pretty good, he still felt like something was missing from his life. Like he was forgetting a memory very dear to him. Curious, Manic asked Logan one day, when he was 13, if Logan had ever found anything on him when he washed up on the beach.
Logan gave Manic the only thing he had managed to find on him; a small sphere. Holding the object, Manic felt a strange warmth, and he began to cry. But he didn't understand why, because he wasn't feeling sad or anything -- the tears just wouldn't stop. Afraid of losing the sphere again, figuring it meant something, Manic asked his dad to craft something so Manic could wear the sphere.
The sphere was then embedded into Manic's left hand, via magic. In order to ensure the sphere would stay put, a special circlet was crafted and placed over the sphere. Since the circlet and sphere were fused to his skin, Manic felt something inside of him stirring. He started to remember something. The sound of crying, and someone saying they loved someone else. But Manic couldn't make out the voices, or the genders, or any names. Still, it inspired him to start searching for who he was, if his name was really Manic, and where he had come from.
Manic spent the next few years honing his skills in swordsmanship and martial arts, as well as magic and basic school education. It became overwhelming some days, but anytime that Manic felt like giving up, all he had to do was glance at the stone in his left hand and he'd suddenly be energized again. Once he hit the age of sixteen, Manic set out from his and Logan's home in Onite, hoping to travel Amaranti and find someone, or something, with knowledge of who he was.
It's been just a little over a year since Manic set out on his journey. He's matured much since first embarking, having witnessed death, destruction and horrible discrimination that wasn't present around Onite. Though he struggles, Manic does what he can to stay true to his own beliefs and ideals, while still helping others but not straying from his true goal of self discovery.
