 Febris Versipellis, Shifter RP

Five years ago a new virus swept the planet, infecting 40% of the population. They called it febris versipellis or Shapeshifter Fever. Seems the infected could change from human, to animal, and back. All it took to become a shapeshifter was lousy luck and a really bad case of the sniffles.

Now, roughly five years later, the febris versipellis (or 'Versi') pandemic has come to an end and people are starting to deal with it. Sort of. Tension has been simmering for a long time and sooner or later things have to come to a head.

So far, non-shifters remain torn about ways to respond. While there are plenty who simply shrug it of, there are also many more who experience unease. They worry about possibly being infected, about how contagious it might still be. There are also humans who believe shifters to be traitors, dangerous, untrustworthy and that they should not be a member of society. On the other side, there are also shift-fans, as they are called, who would love nothing more than to end up infected themselves or believe that there was some higher power involved and that shifters exist for some kind of higher reason.

How this will end is anyone's guess.
