Pretty much every thread has to come to an end at some point, and this is where it will end up. Flights and Clutches, lessons and plot posts, and even random, pointless threads will eventually find its way to this forum.

Weyrbowl
Surrounded by the towering red stone cliffs, the weyrbowl is a large grassy plain right on the edge of the desert. Mostly flat, it is the gathering place for many, and serves many different functions.

Riders Weyrs
Built into the red cliffs themselves, the number of weyrs is actually quite small, though more and more caverns are being carved out each day by the weyrhold's workers. Most have ledges that look out over the bowl, while the senior queen's weyr opens onto the hatching sands as well.

The Infirmary
Thanks to the constant training the riders and dragons do, the caverns that serve as the infirmary see quite a bit of use. Several larger caverns serve the dragons and dragonhealers, while smaller ones are used by the humans.

Kitchens and Great Hall
Connected to one another, the Kitchens, basically a large dining hall, and the Great Hall are two caverns that see a lot of use. The kitchens themselves are open night and day to serve the riders, while the Great Hall is a huge cavern mainly used for ceremonies and feasts.

The Gardens
Built next to the pond in the center of the weyrbowl, the gardens are home to both beautiful flowering plants and herb plants, as well as medicinal plants. Paths meander throughout the rather large area, with small stone seats set here and there along the walkways. Candidates and weyrlings often serve chores here.

Lower Tunnels
Dug under the entirety of the weyr itself are several great tunnels which serve as storage throughout the year. Stocked with various foodstuffs, medicinal supplies, and leather working gear, it can be an easy place to get lost, or hide, in.

Training Cavern
A large cavern that opens out into the weyrbowl, the training cavern allows humans to practice their skills on the ground, or simply come to watch others train. Finely raked sand covers the floor to soften a hard tumble.

Candidate Barracks
Actually not inside the weyr but in the weyrbowl itself, the candidate's housing is actually a set of squat barracks running side by side, with a small training ground nearby. Plans have been made to begin working on caverns inside to convert to candidate's housing, but so far other tasks have been deemed more important.

Hatching Grounds
The largest cavern throughout the entire weyr, the Hatching Grounds are a single, great room that has been packed with fine sand, heated up from underneath by piping laid down that sends heat and steam from the kitchens. Rudimentary stands have been carved around three quarters of the sands, with carved ramps leading up to the main entrance and to the weyrwoman's quarters.

Weyrling Barracks
Once longhouses like those now serving the candidates, the weyrlings barracks are now actually a set of interconnected caverns with rooms dug out from the rock itself, with three passageways to the outside and one large cavern that serves as the lesson room. Weyrlings are separated by their own gender, not that of their dragon.

Reithnir's Pool
A large pond in the heart of the weyrbowl, Reithnir's Pool serves as a great gathering place no matter how hot it is outside, and while not quite large enough for several dragons to go swimming in at one time, its a good place to clean a dragon, or for humans to go swimming, especially during summer.

Alaula Weyrhold
Actually a part of the weyr itself, the weyrhold is a small community that has built up over time. Recently tunnels and caverns have begun to be explored for the hold', though for now most of it is actually outside in houses and larger buildings similar to that of the candidates.

Records Hall
Home to all the records of Alaula Weyr, back before it was even called that, the Records Hall is filled with dusty tomes and newer books, all inviting a good read. The Hall itself is one of the larger buildings throughout the wyerhold, and staffed by several observant weyrfolk, so don't try to sneak off with anything!

The Red Cliffs
Vast cliffs that extend to the east and west of Alaula Weyr and Hold, the red stone is the border between the high mountains and the low ground. It is a natural barrier against most beasts and humans coming from the north, since the cliff sides are so steep.

Red Falls
To the east of Alaula Weyr is a natural waterfall, spilling over the red cliffs and into a lake that swiftly turns into a river that spills down into the ocean. Making the trek here isn't hard, especially on dragonback, and is worth it, both for the view and the relaxation it provides.

Mountains
To the north of Alaula Weyr and the Red Cliffs is a range of mountains that break against the sky like teeth. Few from the weyr have ever gone there, thanks to the Ferals that live there, as well as the rare wild wher.

Grasslands
To the south of Alaula Weyr, and north of the Great Desert, is a broad band of grasslands populated by many different species of beast, including wild runnerbeasts and herdbeasts. It rarely sees visitors, thanks to the desert to the south, and leaves much of the area open for exploration. The remains of an ancient, crumbling weyr can be found here.

Great Desert
Far to the south of Alaula Weyr is the great desert, a vast stretch of sand dunes seemingly as far as the eye can see. While dragons can fly over it rather easily, it would take far, far longer for a human to trek it, and thus serves as a natural barrier between the weyr and the outside world.
