AMC Moving to L.A.

Although hours before the meeting took place an ABC rep insisted that it was just a rumor, sources share that ALL MY CHILDREN's cast and crew were told today that the network is moving production of the soap to Los Angeles. ABC Daytime president Brian Scott Frons reportedly informed AMC-ers earlier this afternoon. Additionally, ONE LIFE TO LIVE will be taking over the studio space currently occupied by Pine Valley.
UPDATE: ABC has officially announced that production of AMC will be moved to Los Angeles in December, with OLTL moving into AMC's current studio shortly thereafter. AMC will begin taping episodes in L.A. the week of January 4, 2010, which will begin airing in HD in February. The relocation will give both shows upgraded facilities and streamlined production models.

Looks like Aiden, Melissa, Chrishell, RPG, Adam Mayfield, Denise Vasi, MEK, Bobbie Eakes and Cameron Mathison have committed to move with the show.
