From an early age, Catalina of Spain was raised to be Princess of Wales and Queen of England. Now Katherine of Aragon, the Queen is a devout catholic, incredibly kind and is known for her gentility. All of that aside, however, she very much feels that she has been chosen by God to serve as Arthur's and England's Queen and her stubborn determination will stop at little to mother England's next monarch.

Mary is a good, obedient princess who can be a bit of a day dreamer. Eleanor is a close friend to Queen Katherine, always receiving handwritten invitations from her and King Arthur to join any public event or progress. Close and affectionate with her husband, Eleanor Stafford is the perfect example of a Lady of Court.

Having hailed proudly from Spain, Maria is a fomidable Spanish noblewoman and followed Queen Katherine every step of the way during her journey to and through England. A daughter of Spain's royal household, she also is distantly related to the Queen, and serves as a loyal lady-in-waiting and trusted confidante. She is finally betrothed to William Willoughby, 11th Baron Willoughby d'Eresby at the behest of the Queen Katherine, and Maria has seldom found herself happier in her lifetime.

Elizabeth Grey is a woman of poise, grace and charm--all the while maintaining a sort of edge that keeps others on their toes. She's predictable in the sense that she knows how to act, what to say and when to say it, but the Lady Grey finds a way to add her own sort of twist to it. She goes out of her way to make people like her, but won't do anything she normally would not do to make it happen. She is a family girl, being very very close to her eldest brother Thomas and rumor has that he is close to finding her a husband of rank an wealth--which has her very relieved.

Being the fourth child of the Earl of Surrey and future 2nd Duke of Norfolk, Elizabeth wasn't exactly considered something special. But, being the first daughter, she was her mother's prized possession. At only ten, though, her mother the Countess Elizabeth Tilney died of her natural ailments and left her two daughters at the mercy of their father and brothers. She became an addition of the royal court shortly after her father's appointment to the dukedom, and with Queen Katherine's coronation and her brother the new Earl of Surrey, she was chosen as a lady-in-waiting and a future wife for the ambitious courtier Sir Thomas Boleyn.

Inez de Venegas is a Spanish woman hailing from a great noble family and is, along with Maria de Salinas, one of Queen Katherine’s most trusted ladies. The three have known each other for quite some time and are the closest of friends. Maria is, of course, Catholic through and through and the epitome of pious. She was allowed to break her Spanish betrothal in order to follow Katherine to England, but now finds herself thinking that it may be time to marry. She finds England a fantastic second home and would not mind marrying English nobility.

Catherine is a skilled courtier who serves as one of Princess Mary’s ladies. Though she is not of complete noble birth, she can claim relation to Lady Margaret Beaufort and that name alone commands respect. She is not as learned as some of the females at court, but what she lacks in education she more than makes up for with grace and social competence. She is back at court after being widowed by a lowly knight and now she is intent on marrying someone a bit more respectable—since she prefers court to the countryside. The problem? Virtually no rank and no wealth.

Margaret is newly come to court at the behest of her brother, who has taken it upon himself to get her a position as one of the Princess Mary’s ladies. She is a bit shyer than he would prefer her to be, as he intends to marry her to some one of great rank. The best way to describe her, perhaps, is as a shrinking violet. She is pretty to look at from afar, but she will never make the first move to try and integrate herself into a dance or conversation. But she is a very, very intelligent young woman who observes the happenings of court from afar. Though shy, she most definitely has her own strong opinions on things—which she only shares with the few people she has come to trust.

Ursula Pole comes from a strong-willed, noble family and very much looks to her mother as the leader of their family since her father’s death. She is an educated, smart and loyal woman. With her families connections, she was able to secure a position with Queen Katherine’s ladies. She is known for being somewhat cold, but that is not intentional. She finds the flitting, silly women at court a waste of space and does not have as much tolerance for it as she could. She also has the tendency to a bit more blunt than a lady should be, but she is more amiable than most since she is an heiress and comes from such an eminent English family.

Anne is a woman who tries her best to fit into court, but it is quite obvious that she does not possess the same grace, skill or wealth as many of the other women. She is a very, very kind young woman at heart and would never think to tell a lie or step out of line. Anne relies heavily on her brother to let her know what is and is not acceptable and she very much strives to be the sort of lady that he would wish of her. She is the sort of girl to be forgetful or klutzy, but never on purpose, and wishes more than anything for her brother to find her a husband and settle in the English countryside.

After marriage at an early age, Elizabeth was sure any chance of a bright future was over. She had a sickly husband, one that hardly tolerated her, and despite his wealth she never once was able to use a penny of it herself. Finally free of her ball and chain, Elizabeth is bold and very outspoken, sometimes entertaining and other times quite insufferable. This makes it hard for any suitors to try and make claim to her wealth, for they know she will come with a costly price; her attitude.

Hopeful but often times solemn, Anne tries hard to play the part of a perfect courtier.
