THE STORY
when everything changed

It's been five years since Henry VII died and left his kingdom, five years since his son Arthur Tudor and his Spanish bride Katherine of Aragon took the throne. Never have the English dreamed that after years and years of civil war and unrest, they would be able to see such peace and prosperity throughout their country. King Arthur and his beloved Queen have nearly brought a second coming of Camelot to England, strong in their foreign allies of Spain and Italy and a champion country of Catholicism. A new era has been bestowed upon the country, and few have mind to stand against it.

Festival of the Harvest
Plays and masques mirroring Spanish tradition have been arranged by the Queen, jousting competitions and sword fighting have been staged by Prince Henry in the tiltyards, and even on the River Thames a river barge has been opened for the celebrations and at night a plethora of fireworks are set off into the skies above. Parades with dogs and horses march about the courtyards of the palace, led by courtiers with fire-lit torches singing the oldest of songs and giving way to their King's love and generosity.

The Grounds
Surrounding Greenwich are acres and acres of beautifully kept gardens, alcoves and orchards. Beyond them is a fruitful hunting park, offering not only winning game but beautiful scenery and riding trails. The River Thames, also, is just behind the palace on the south end, the water nearly reaching the castle walls.

The Tiltyards
Upon Arthur's ascension, Prince Henry wasted no time in using his brother's new coffers in building a tiltyard for jousting, including an armory, kennels for the royal collection of dogs, stables for the royal horses, tennis courts and a fighting rooster pit for the public.

The Great Hall
Courtiers will come here for breakfast, dinner and supper, the King and Queen hold every celebratory event, masque or feast here, and the ballroom is vast to allow both the various musicians room to play and the the courtiers plenty a room to dance.

Camelot's Library
Both King Arthur and Queen Katherine have delved heavily into their love for books and education, their highly commissioned libraries surmounting even those of King Ferdinand of Spain. The library, spread out amongst the eastern wing, is always open to courtiers.

Rooms of the Courtiers
Greenwich has been built to accommodate nearly every one of its courtiers, and depending on your public status depends on the size of your room. Some are only single apartments with a single bed, some have adjoining chambers and some are even bigger, but no matter what they are always finely decorated and always comfortable.

Capella Regia
The Chapel Royal is a department for the Ecclesiastical and royal household, open to the public and holds Mass every Sunday. Queen Katherine has long since commissioned for the chapel to be expanded, for bigger, stone altars and a larger body of priests and choirs. For any religious services or need, confessions or prayer, courtiers will go here.

Galerie D'art
Along with their fascination for books and literary works, King Arthur and his Queen have sent far and wide for the most glorious of paintings, sculptures and even draft sketches to display proudly in their royal art gallery. Open to the public, the widespread gallery is both diverse in artistic styles and the countries from which they came from.

Palace Kitchens
Though royalty, nobility and gentry all have different access to different sorts of food, this is where it is all prepped, cooked and brought out from into the Great Hall. There is a separate department for the King and Queen, including a royal chef and a multitude of cooks, but with foreign imports so high, food is bountiful and rich in flavor, no matter the public status.
