Pokemon Favorite Starters and Generation Names

Hi guys! If any1 already did this topic, feel free to delete it! ^-^ Anyways, I was wondering. What is your FAVORITE starter from all the gens. Just one from each. And if you had to name a region in Pokemon, what would it be called?

My favorite from each generation is:

Gen 1: Squirtle/Charmander (I can't pick! they're both so boss!)

Gen 2: Cyndaquil

Gen 3: Torchic

Gen 4: Piplup

Gen 5: Snivy

As for the region, I don't know. Maybe something like Ocana or Orocana or whatever.

Gen 2. Chikorita

Gen 3. Mudkip (This was pretty hard to choose...)

Gen 4. Piplup

Gen 5. Tepig-Oshawott (tie lol)

IDK whether to pick squirtle or charmander. They're both awesome and it's hard to chose. Granted, I don't have ANY of the first gen pokemon games, but I wish I did (except for geodude... geodude ruins it for me!) Anyways, I wanna know, do you think I should come up with random starter pokemon for adamant ditto? Or should I ask them? I kinda should kno what pokemon they want for a starter. It would be from any generation. Like if Kyle wants a snivy and Don wants a squirtle. Things like that. And if they have to, more than one person can use the same pokemon! What do you think?

1st gen: ehhh... Squirtle I guess
2nd gen: Cyndaquil <3 one of my favorite Pokemon of all
3rd gen: Mudkip (And i named mine Muffin =P )
4th gen: Chimchar (gotta love that flaming monkey with a butt)
5th gen: Can't really say for certain... I haven't played them yet. I suppose Oshawott because it's super cute.

As for favorite gen I love 2nd gen. Pokemon Gold was the first game I ever owned, and many of the Pokemon I love are from 2nd gen.

And maybe ask them each what they would like as a starter. Or, alternatively, watch every single Adamant Ditto video and gather info on each of them. Be like a detective.

Gen I: Squirtle is my favorite starter, but I usually start off with Bulbasaur

Gen II: Cyndaquil

Gen III: Torchic, but I love all three

Gen IV: Turtwig

Gen V: Snivy

u like, love all the pokemon I do! I also love squirtle, cyndaquil, turtwig (I love turtwig along with piplup, but i like piplup because of it's typing water/steel) and snivy ftw!

Hmm
gen 1-Bulbasaur. I always loved Bulbasaur and Ivysaur,but Venasaur is just ... Tumerous. So I guess based on the evolution chain I would pick squirtle but just on the starter I like the most definitly Bulbasaur.
gen 2- Cyndaquil

gen 4- Chimchar- annother real tricky one for me, Grottle and Tortrea are just so bad ass but again based on my arguement from the start I guess before you get there you have to have a vacant looking Turwig for 18 levels
gen 5- Tepig- Lets be fair I know alot of folk dont like Tepig but hes a firey pig! Who ever doesnt see that and fall in love ( or at least feel like a bacon roll) has no soul !

Yep! I've decided that these are going to be their starters (this is in ch.3 of my story) SPOILER ALERT!

Don was first, he had gotten a snivy. Josh was next, who received an eevee. After Josh was Kyle, who had received a female shiny ralts. Next was Steven, who received a beldum. After Steven was Tim, who got a turtwig. Jess received an azurill. Phil gets a cyndaquil, and Matt gets a snorunt.

I was watching a dual-screen playthrough of pokemon black and white, and one of the guys got a tepic and named it bekonbekon, which means bacon in japanese! XD So I'm going to name my mankey on my yellow version bekonbekon! XD

Not sure what you all are refering to with the giving of Pokemans to Adamant Ditto. Fanfic story? Sounds kinky.

Anyway, picking from the starters is really tough.

Gen 1- Squirtle.

Gen 2- Totodile.

Gen 3- Mudkip.

Gen 4- Piplup.

Gen 5- Oshawott.

I'm not Matty so I can't really answer for him, but IMO I think you should stick with the Snorunt. It's unique.

So many of you guys love oshawott/dewott. I personally like Samurott. I mean, Serperior is my fave (tied with the Cyndaquil line), but if I don't choose Serperior, I would chose Samurott for my starter (or snivy and oshawott)

Gen I: Hard to choose, but it's either Growlithe, Gastly, or Slowpoke

Gen II: Elekid

Gen III: Ralts

Gen IV: Again hard to choose, but because I hate 4th gen most: either Riolu or Mantyke. I know they're babies, but they're at least decent babies.

Gen V: Litwick

omgosh! My computer just allowed me to c ur pic next 2 ur name! I LOVE Silver! He's my favorite Rival! Well... that's not true... I has a crush on N and Cheren... (i'm a girl) I don't know which 1 to chooooseee! Cheren or N? N reminds me of Inuyasha in the opening of the pokemon black and white games, while cheren is just sooo hot! Not to mention his voice actor is Shadow the Hedgehog in the BW2 anime trailer. ITS SOOO HARD TO CHOOOSEE!

Haha Silver will always be my rival. Gold was my first game so Silver was my very first rival. He's also adorable and the story of Giovanni being his dad and Silver hating Team Rocket because his dad was too preoccupied with them then to be there for Silver is so sad.

Ruby and Sapphire

Emerald

Gold and Silver

Yellow

Trading Card Game

Blue Rescue Team

Ranger and Shadows of Almia

Soulsilver

White 2

I think that's the order. I'm sure of Soulsilver - white 2. And that I got Ruby and Sapphire on the same day and Gold and Silver on the same day. I also got Shadows of Almia and Ranger on the same day for my b-day. Lets see... out of all of these, I have lost: Ruby, Sapphire, Gold, Soulsilver, Black, Ranger, Shadows of Almia, Blue rescue team. Yep. Aren't I great at keeping track of my things?

Colosseum, Gold version, FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Red Rescue Team, and Explorers of Darkness.

haha. my games that broke are:
Battery Died: gold & silver

for some reason, my pokemon diamond version is a butt and will take 5 minutes to save. not only that, but it freezes! I got a shiny Uxie on that thing and it froze b4 I could save it!!!!

i know right! I was soo mad! If my sister had waited 5 seconds to take it away, I would've thrown my DS into my cousin's TV! (I was at their house sleeping over at the ime) I was so ticked off! I never played it again. It was like that when first got it,too! I got in off ebay. Lesson learned: remember kids! Never trust ebay or they'll sned you crap like this!

But to be fair, I got ruby and sapphire, and maybe emerald i cant remember, off ebay and they still work fine. Well, just emerald. I don't know about the others since they've disappeared into the black hole that is my house! XD

I just saw this now, but if you ever get around to seeing this, I don't mind having Growlithe. Don't know if you already had me be a Psychic gym leader, but if not then me with Growlithe is fine. As for a name, I pick Lightning, so as to signify me as separate from the AD Viper.

Always go with the reptiles/amphibians. If there is more than one, I pick the more defensive one. Except in Johto... because I prefer a big burly alligator over a brachiosaurus with genitalia for a head.

When considering my favorite region, Johto has to be it. It is just really hard for me to dislike it. Kanto definitely is really close as second, but I love Johto so much. They introduced so many awesome new Pokemon (and a few that I dislike such as Snubbull and of course, Yanma), you get to fight 16 gyms and get 16 badges, you explore two regions, etc. Most of why I like Johto are for the same reasons listed in Ricky's Top 10 DS Games video, but yeah I love it

Saying you like Johto best because you can go to Kanto just means you like Kanto best.

My favourite is Hoenn. It is just the most diverse and interesting region. And there isn't a bad pokemon in the bunch.

But the second gen games are the best (in my opinion) because you can go to two different regions. That's one more than any of the other gens and that's a fantastic feature. Does that make Johto the best region? No, probably not. Honestly, I think I like Unova best in terms of region. It's far more interesting than anything the other regions have to offer but second gen is easily the best (again, in my opinion) in terms of the games because of how much it added to the series and how much of a leap forward it was from Gen 1.

And yes, I think Gen 3 is the worst but again, opinions.

I think we've said this before, but just because we consider Gen 3 to be the worst doesn't mean we hate it...Gen 3 is pretty decent, it's just the worst (In most of our opinions)...

Personally, I didn't like all the Water in Hoenn...I just disliked it...Hell, I still hate having to go from Olivine to Cianwood because it's on the water...I also don't like the ugly sprite work in Gen 3's Overworld Trainers, but that's probably just a thing with me, as a spriter

I think I like Unova's layout best, followed by Sinnoh, Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn (I'm telling you, Water Routes are the worst thing, like ever...even worse than caves, in my opinion)...I still think the ability to get more than 8 Badges is the best thing ever...I think we need a game that brings the Pokemon World together...It'll never happen, but it would be amazing

I really like Gen 3, but I agree with AD's points. Anyway my favorite starters are

RBY: Bulbasaur (favorite of all time)
GSC: Chikorita
RSE: As overrated as it sounds, Mudkip
DPPt: Chimchar
BWB2W2: Oshawott, although Snivy is really growing on me

Water routes are terrible, and especially because of Hoenn. It was a pain in the ass just trying to find the cave where Team Magma/Aqua was hiding. Plus like in every other game you run into a Tentacool every two seconds (not saying I hate Tentacool, but it's kinda like the Water version of Zubat). And no, HyperAggron. That does not mean that I like Kanto best. As nostalgic as I find Kanto, I like Johto better because I was honestly deprived of the glory that is Red and Blue, and the earliest game in the series that I've owned is Crystal.
