He went to save, but the game showed him deleting all his save files as sort of a prank. I does other stuff too, like faking that your control isn't connected when you're in a room full of enemies.

See, I've never played Eternal Darkness, mostly because I'm a pussy but also because I can't seem to find it for less than 25 bucks. I went through a phase where I bought a bunch of GCN games but I wasn't spending too much on them and I couldn't find that one for a decent price.

I haven't either, but I've heard of all kinds of ways that the game screws with the player. It sounds like it would be fun to watch somebody else play.

I played it
It's fun! But I went 5 hrs without saving, died and the had to continue from where I was 5 hrs ago. That's when I said fuck it.
There's no auto-save, not even a prompt.
