The screech deafening of the rails of the last train of the night made to tremble the wall of red bricks of the bridge under which she walked. Was that the passage for the Elves Council ? There? The blue cerulean of Ayla's eyes observed better the zone. Under the small bridge where she was, in front of her saw only an abandoned deposit and an old shopping center in downfall, had probably been closing since years.

She went out and advanced toward the enormous advertising poster of the building behind of this and read '' opening next summer '' but that poster was old than at least of the '80 years, therefore of summers were departed quite a lot... That abandoned building gave her a sense of squalid and decadent, the abandonment seemed not only on building but also of the surrounding environment. Small yellowish leaves whirled on the ground to the light breezes of wind. She left a sigh of disappointment and looked once more the old page of the book took away from the volumes considered '' top-secret '' of the B.P.R.D. The yellow page was adorned of runes and of faded sketches that affirmed that in that point it had to be the passage for the land end between the wooded zones of the elves and those of the human ones. Of woods however, didn't exist in that zone anymore... from centuries. There was only that old dark and abandoned building in which she doubted would have found something if not bums or worse.

The search of Bethmoora was by now an illusion that dragged by too much time. Perhaps all those things were only legends. A gust of wind disarranged her hair and listened to the metallic noise that the advertising placard to the wind passage.

Aina had noticed over time that there was always something interesting to be found in ruins, the bigger the better - although everything was pretty big in comparison to her. This one was an abandoned shopping mall, and she was hunting in it for bits of old cloth to take back to her little home. Unfortunately she had not found anything of interest so far, and was considering going to look somewhere else. That was the thing about these places...if you caught them at the right time, they were little treasure troves waiting to be discovered, but if left for too long like this one, then there was nothing left to find.

But there was also someone else here, looking at a scrap of paper and sighing. Quietly, Aina flew up behind her and landed on her shoulder. "What are you looking for?" Her musical voice chimed quietly in the air as she peered at the piece of paper in the woman's hand.

Ayla looked for the last time at the building, sadly. She had to leave. Wouldn't have found never anything there. She looked again at the decorated runes on the ancient sheet and tried to reread with more attention, not that she hadn't already done it but to prevent was better whether cure. The rustle of the trees continued fearless and in that so desolate zone it was almost anxious, nothing magic there could be in a such dark place. She still thought all her studies had been worth the efforts, had made researches, learned to read the runes and learned how much more had been able about of the magic world and of all the creatures, even of the black forest. Who knows why she wanted to reveal the existence of this world to the Boureau. Perhaps because she wanted to try that she wasn't so strange then? She had been found in a similar place, on the roots of a tree..... Ayla didn't remember more and that few that she remembered didn't succeed in explaining what she was...

A delicate humming on her shoulder made her think to who knows what disgusting creature had approached to her ear. She prayed that it wasn't a cockroach. She hated the cockroaches. To the sudden one.... a little voice, small and crystalline talked to hher ear making her to jolt . For few she didn't lose the sheet in the breeze of the wind, succeeding in picking it up in time.
"Who has spoken?? Who is?! " Ayla turned anywhere but she didn't see anybody. Something however captured the attention of her look. In a first appearance it seemed that a leaf transported by the wind was supported on her shoulder. With a depressed sigh she lifted the hand to move it, stiffened like a stone when touched something that wasn't a leaf neither something that had never touched before. A tiny head... very. Very. Tiny.

" OH... God....what ...there is on my shoulder.... ?" she nervously spoke without thinking that wasn't alone , her face was a mask of surprise and light fear with her blue eyes dilated like two sapphires. Meanwhile she didn't dare to stir neither to move the hand.

The human's reaction made her giggle, a noise like little bells tinkling. She loved suprising people, and it was so easy when she was so small as people did not register her presence apart from the light hum of her large wings as she hovered a mere millimetre above the woman's shoulder, her feet skimming the cloth like a feather on the breeze.

A hand reached up and touched her on the top of her head, and when it didn't move, she flew around it infront of the humans face, glowing lightly from the roots of her green hair to the tips of her bare green feet. "Boo!" she said with a cheerful grin.

A sound reached her ear, in the nervousness she had to strive for focus on the sound that was hidden by the wind. It seemed a laughter. Ayla was rigid like a stone and her eyes kept on inspecting around her for try to understand if a 'visible' someone had spoken. Speaking the truth Ayla hoped to doesn't become crazy because was sure that the laughter that had heard was originated by what was on the shoulder.

Suddenly the 'something laughing' stirred and heard a wings rustle. At that time she turned on herself and looked for with the sight until a green sparkle didn't flash in front of her eyes. It wasn't that was green to make to shell her eyes but the fact that spoke.

BOO!

Ayla had the face that expressed the pure surprise and fear. With the open mouth like a turned oval withdrew but in to jolt lost completely the equilibrium and ruinously fell to the ground, really under what seemed a winged young girl.

"OH GOD! " Screamed awkwardly falling with a thud. The back the ached for the bump but at that time she didn't worry about the pain and lifted the blonde head to look at the creature small like hand finger to fly above of her. She sat on the damp ground and without daring to stir kept on looking at her. Her blue cerulean eyes were enormous for the amazement.
"But... you fly.... you.... " she stammered, but she didn't know if could say the word that thought. It seemed so impossible that forcedly began to think of have become crazy.

When the human fell backwards so did she - but in laughter, doing a backwards roll whist hovering in mid air, the tinkling sound much like bells still ringing out into the night air. Oh this was so fun! She loved suprising people, just because the looks on their faces when they saw her were so amusing that she couldn't help herself.

Her little green face peered down at the human who was now on the ground, a tiny face in a little glowing star of green light. "Yes, I fly..I'm a fairy" Her voice was higher pitched than the human below her, but still clear enough to be heard with the wind.

But was was? Was she dreaming with open eyes and was fallen in the world of the fables?. Or all of her studies in that months about the ancient and fantastic world had perhaps altered her perception.... yes, that have to be a dream. She was only dreaming ... because that... couldn't be a fairy... a true fairy..

However it really seemed so.

Her green skin like the color of the spring leaves and the bright eyes, seemed a sweet girl in miniature. Her wings that compared to her thin and slender body were more bigger, similar to those of a dragonfly but glimmering like the stars.

"Yes... I see that you are a fairy but... " Ayla lifted a hand as if wanted to suggest to the creature to look at herself " but... you are a fairy! " Ayla protested, shortly after however realized that what had said didn't have any mean and shake the head for then to look again at her " I mean, I don't believe that creatures as you could be seen every day.... or I am completely gone crazy and I even me not 'really seeing' you... " Ayla leaned on the knees and reached the height of the point in which the fairy flew " but you seem really real... " in the tone Ayla was timorous but at the same time seemed that her eyes shoned . If everything that was true, then she had shown, that the magic world had existed and it still existed.

"Therefore... you are a fairy.... a fairy... of the.. teeth? " Ayla looked well at the small fairy, didn't her attractive and cunning face resemble to that seen on the illustrations. Ayla made sign to attend and extracted again the ancient sheet showing it to the fairy. On the back revealed the ancient sketch of the fairies of the black forest, but that creature didn't resemble to that green nice fairy. That exist therefore other types of fairies??
It seemed to her everything so absurd . She didn't exclude that from a moment to the other one she would wake up in the Boureau bookstore and that it was everything a dream. However she didn't wake up..... that dream, was real.

It was taking a while for the reality of a bright green fairy to kick in for them human, it seemed that she thought it was all some strange dream and that Aina wasn't really real - but she was, from the tips of her fluttering green wings, to her bare green toes. "Trust me, you aren't dreaming..I am real" and just to prove her point, she gave another spin, sending another light spiral of fairy dust everywhere including on the human.

She couldn't help but laugh with what the lady said next "a Tooth fairy? Of course not!" She had seen that variation of fairies, with their obsession with human teeth - very strange indeed. Her head then quirked to the side in a gesture of curiousity at the battered piece of paper and she hovered next to it - the woodcuts of the fairies there were obviously nothing like her green lightness, for those were the fey of the Elflands, not those who had freedom like her.
