(I'm going to use my RP example from my profile as Algoma's first real encounter with her powers. This post is what happened afterwards)

She made it home and did not even stop to listen to the messages on her answering machine. Her mother wasn't home, probably working late hours again. She ran up the stairs and slammed the door, locking it behind her, and crawling onto her bed, trying her best to stop trembling and to think clearly on what happened.

Nobody else was there... it wasn't like a Superman or someone could have swooped in and impaled those..... things....

So how did those cannibalistic creatures get in the tree? Why were they impaled? What just happened?

"Maybe......." if all else failed, she could go into denial. "Maybe it was just your imagination..... you work too hard, your mind gets all jumbled up.... there's no possible way...... no way in the world that....."

Denial would be nice, if she allowed herself to be consumed by it. But that feeling in the back of her mind kept her from doing so.

"What's happening.....? What if.... I was the only person there. What if they accuse me of murder? Nobody would believe me if I said that I closed my eyes and they were impaled by the tree branches."

It also didn't help that this was a neighborhood dominated by Caucasians, and Mom always told her that the white men are always looking for a reason to throw an Indian into jail.

"Oh God..... what am I going to do?"
