Marshall is the co-founder and chief operating officer of Office Stock Incorporated. He and Wes went to Yale together, and were roommates, and best friends. When they graduated, they purchased the company, and have built themselves an empire.
Unlike Wes, Marshall is something of a womanizer, and loves living among the upper class of New York. He is full of ideas – most of them ridiculous, and never hesitates to put his two cents in whether or not its wanted.
Laura is Wes' step-sister, the daughter of his step-mother, Suzanne. She was given her job as a marketing assistant in December 2010, when her mother denied her step-brother entry into their home unless he granted his sister a position at his company.
She is entirely incompetent in her work, and spends most of her time shopping online, and on Facebook. Wes would otherwise let her go, if he didn't fear the wrath of his step-mother.
Mandy is Marshall Cooley's personal assistant. She's a very open character, in the sense that you can make up whatever story you'd like for her, but I think it would be cute if she was secretly in love with Marshall.
