meet scarlett jayne devereux, a los angeles native and the current host/producer of doing it with devereux, a late night talk show. she graduated from high school when she was seventeen years old on account of the fact that her birthday is in august, and shortly after graduation she moved out to new york city where she attended new york university. while at nyu, she majored in journalism, though she also appeared in a few off broadway musicals and plays. she also had a brief summer internship at the new york times, which she got because her mother is a well-known photo journalist and her father is a well-known news anchor. however, neither of those things were things that she was passionate about, so she moved back to los angeles where she opened her own yoga studio while volunteering as a firefighter on the side. eventually, at the age of twenty-one, scarlett was approached about being the host of a new late night talk show, and she quickly agreed. she has been hosting the show for the past five years and she loves every minute of it. however, even though it's a late night talk show, scarlett prides herself on the fact that it's not like the other talk shows. it's not a bunch of fluff pieces about venomous spiders and snakes followed by silly little games that are most likely rigged for maximum embarrassment, though that's not to say that those elements are not present some of the time. honestly, if i had to describe it, i would say she's a mix of chelsea handler, barbara walters, and ellen degeneres. the show is entertaining, but it's also smart. let's back track a little bit because i forgot to mention that scarlett had a falling out with her family around the time that her show aired, and she hasn't really spoken to them in a few years. anyways, let's get back on track. scarlett has two dogs, a yorkshire terrier named rhett and a dalmatian named fitzwilliam, though she just calls him fitz. what else? scarlett should not be allowed to step foot in a kitchen as she is a notoriously terrible cook. she hardly keeps anything in her refrigerator and cabinets, and she spends a lot of time at restaurants as a result. she is also a vegan. she is an avid football fan and she enjoys playing flag or touch football, though be warned that she'll get quite competitive. she could likely drink you under the table, and she can't say no to a good bottle of scotch. she much rather be naked than fully clothed. she hates pet names and tourists. she is also very direct, which can throw a lot of people off. she prefers male friends over female ones because she thinks that girls are catty, and and knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go after it. she can speak fluent russian, which doesn't really come in handy, but it's whatever.

as far as friends go, she will undoubtedly have quite a few. she is not the type of friend who is going to sugarcoat something for you though, so if the dress you are trying on making you look fat, then she's going to let you know. she might not be the easiest person to befriend, but if you are not the type to get easily offended, then it shouldn't be too hard. like i said, she prefers male friends to female friends as she finds most women insufferable, but she'll have a few close female friends as well. she just needs friends, okay. she needs a surrogate family because her family kind of sucks. as far as enemies are concerned, well, i love enemies plots, so feel free to throw your ideas at me. she's honest to the point of being caustic, so i'm sure she has rubbed a few people the wrong way. it happens. mutual hatred, misunderstandings, one-sided contempt, enemies with benefits, etc. it's all welcome here. finally, there's the lovers. scarlett likes to keep herself as unattached as possible. she hates to label her relationships because she doesn't believe that things fit that nicely into categories. i wouldn't necessarily say that she is afraid of commitment because she's not. she just doesn't believe that the whole marriage and babies thing is for her. then again, she's never been particularly impressed by any of the men she has been with. they interest her for a time, and then either she loses interest in them or it's a mutual thing. i have mentioned this before, but she's direct and knows what she wants. she's also not afraid to give a voice to those desires, so if she wants you to take your pants off, then she'll tell you to take your pants off. she is a bit of a control freak though, so it's rather refreshing when someone else takes charge and tells her what she needs. basically, she needs it all, though mostly she'll need flings, one night stands, crushes, flirts, etc. if you want to throw some future things in there, then be my guest. i honestly have nothing planned for her in this department, so go crazy! ♥ thanks

sawyer put out her first ep last year and is currently on the second season of the mtv show little f#ckers, so i can see her being on doing it with devereux at some point? delaney would definitely shy away from a show like that, but sawyer would love it.

scarlett would love to have sawyer on doing it with devereux, either as a musical guest or a guest, or both. i mean, she might find her a bit obnoxious, but i think she'd also find her a lot of fun. they'd definitely get into some interesting situations on the show. sorry this is not more inspired.

TOM & SCARLETT hello! this is tom, and he's pretty much the player type of guy. he's just got too many "mommy and daddy got divorced" issues and somehow that translates into him not wanting anything serious with anyone. and i think he would definately want to have something with her, because she's so energetic and would want the same thing as him from their "relationship".

bonjour! so, i spent the longest time trying to decide if scarlett and tom would be the type of people who would get along or be at each other's throats, and then i decided that it would just depend on the day. you see, aside from having the whole i-don't-want-a-real-adult-relationship thing in common, they are also both quite honest and direct, so obviously that might cause some problems along the way. but the sex would just be hotter, then. anyways, scarlett is not the clingy type, and she honestly wouldn't get upset if he just called her for sex. i feel like they could potentially be an unlikely pair of friends, but it's up to you. for some reason i see their whole "relationship" starting the first time she met him, which was likely when he was a guest on her show. they probably had angry sex in his dressing room, but it is what it is.
